  I have not found any that really work - the last one I tried was from Halfords - a lot cheaper than from BMW. The instructions for fitting however were very vague. Anyone out there know of a good beam converter system?

  Helo everyone, I have a chance to purchase a 1997 BMW Z3, looks great, red sitting on lovely fresh alloys, but electrics are a mess, electric windows etc don't work, is there a central control unit or is it just individual failures? if it is a black box, anyone any idea of how much we are talking, the car is going for about £1500.

  Hi i ahve 4 metric tyres fitted to my bmw due to the cost of the tyres was thinking switching to normal tyres but not sure what size to buy. Do I need new alloys as well tyre size is 230/55ZR390 please help thanks

  I have had to replace the ECU on my 1998 bmw 523, problem is the ecu is coded to the EWS system, can I recode it my self at all? If not can it be done on a normal diagnostic or is it a specialist job? Thanks {corrected typo in header}

  hi i have a bmw 2000 330i manual i have a hissing noise under the inlet manifold,somewhere in the front of the car, the idling of the car fluctuates aswell and there is loss of power can anyone help thanks

  My heater blower in my BMW 328i SE '97 has stopped working. All the other climate controls seem to work fine. When i press the blower button nothing happens. Anyone any idea what could be causing this?

  Can anyone advise on the technique for removing the original BMW 'Business' radio/cassette from an E36 3 Series? The radio has a little flap on each side covering what I guess are the removal clips, but after fiddling round for a while I can't see what I need to do with them to release the radio.

  I have recently been quoted £750 to repair the air con on my BMW 523 se auto. The refrigerant gas has leaked out from the expansion valve which is aparently situted behind the dashboard. This seems rather expensive !! Has anyone any experience of this and does it seem reasonable or should I get a second opinion from an indepenant specialist?

  Have made it! Very impressed and a vast improvement well done HJ and the gang. Update on the cam belt, BMW want £250 to do it and the cheapest so far for an independent is £100 labour plus parts so nearing £200 or so. Where else should I try? had thought that £125 closer to the mark so did you HJ!

  My cousin ordered a new 3 serires from abroad in sept last year and is expecting delivery next month. It seems around the time he placed the order Bmw gave this model a midlife facelift, and he is unsure as to wether he will get the facelifted model or the old style one, the import company cannot clarify this for him either. Any Ideas?, thanks.

  Hi all I am wondering if I could ask for some guidance - as i'm not too handy when it comes to cars. I purchased a BMW 3 series 17 plate in June 2018 - I noticed that to keep the car in a straight line, the steering wheel has to be slightly turned to the right, the degree of turn increases when I increase my speed. I initially thought this was a simple alignment issue, so I took it in to the BMW garage to fix.

  I have had my car from new. Far from faultless, the Turbo blew at 46K (and BMW didn't want to know) but it now has 60K on the clock. For the last 20K it has felt flat below 2,000 RPM and treated the following car to a cloud of brown/black smoke under hard acceleration, especially in kick-down.

  I think this is a reall safety issue - especially in city driving. All the other gears are fine.  At a recent service the BMW technician took the car for a test drive.  It proved inconclusive.  The BMW dealer stated that there have been no issues with this model - it's an 11 plate first registered in Feb 2011.

  Hi i currently own and run a bmw e39 525d manual on a 03, i need a estate and want a auto and somthing more comfertable as well, but dont know wheather i should put up with my £6,500 bmw to buy a newer car maybe newer 5 series or audi a6 and pay round £15,000 for the one i would want.
