97 2.8 heater blower not working - allan doc
My heater blower in my BMW 328i SE '97 has stopped working. All the other climate controls seem to work fine. When i press the blower button nothing happens. Anyone any idea what could be causing this?

A failed heater blower is usually caused by a faulty electronic fan speed regulator. This is fitted in the heater box, access from passenger footwell.Cost of part around £50.hth

Is the regulator the same as a resistor pack?

Yes,same device but electronic rather than resistive wire.hth

Thanks. Is this located at the speaker or centre console side of the passenger footwell?

Centre console, right at the back, where the carpet ends. You will probably need to remove the underdash panel below the glovebox. There is a 5-pin electrical connector attached to it.hth
