Rising slightly, a Radiant red 93,000 mile 95M Mondeo 2.5 V6 automatic went for £1,550, a 92,000 mile 96P Escort 1.4 estate made £1,750, a 125,000 mile 96P Rover KV6 Sterling was knocked down for £2,000, and a less problem-prone 64,000 mile 96N Rover 820 Vitesse found a new owner for £2,050.

With instant torque available from the start, the Octavia vRS iV can sprint to 62mph in 7.3 seconds, topping out at 140mph.

    In its August sale, a 2006 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti with a 5.7-litre V12 engine and semi-automatic F1-style gearbox sold above its auction estimate for £57,000. With 49,000 miles on the clock, the car was presented in near showroom-condition. Other notable results from the August sales include a museum-quality 1991 BMW 850i Auto reading 57,000 miles that sold for £19,500, a 1980 Porsche 911 SC project estimated at £12,000 to £16,000 that sold for £20,360.
