New Ford Maverick Sports Utility 1 May 2001 (News)
Today sees the UK launch of Fords new small sports utility 4x4, the Maverick. Whereas the old Maverick was developed jointly with Nissan and built in Spain, this is an all new Ford/Mazda co-production built at Mazda's Hofu plant in Japan and a much more refined, road-friendly vehicle with a unitary body rather than separate chassis. Ford makes bold claims about refinement and drivability, achieved from fully independent suspension front and rear rather than solid axles, rack and pinion steering, MacPherson strut front suspension, Control-Trac II automatic 4x4 system and ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution. -

'Lost' David Brown Aston Stars in September Auction 23 Aug 2010 (News)
Thought to be one of just five examples built, it was originally ordered by the British Ambassador to Spain but was never delivered. It was displayed on the Talbot stand at the 1934 Motor Show and in 1936 it was bought by a Mr Steed – and remained in the Steed family until 2009 (estimate: £34,000-£40,000). -
Peugeot Mobility System Removes Need to Own a Car 5 Jul 2010 (News)
Mu by Peugeot is already working in Brest, Lyon, Nantes and Rennes in France and in five Dealerships in Paris and in the capital cities of Germany, Spain and Italy, each utilising the facilities of the Peugeot Dealer network. This new mobility service will be deployed in nine European countries between now and 2011. The Route Competitors will take the Plymouth/Roscoff ferry and then drive 1200 miles to the foot of Spain before taking the car ferry to Morocco. In Morocco we will pass Rabat, CasaBlanca, Marrakech,and Agadir before assembling at Dakhla where the tarmac ends and the fun begins. A twice weekly military convoy takes vehicles from Dakhla to Mauretania and while the road is not tarmacadem, two wheel drive vehicles should not experience too many problems. -
