ldv gearbox and peugeot diesel 18 Jul 2007 (Forum)
Am i correct in thinking the LDV pilot is rwd and uses a peugeot 1.9 diesel engine. Is this the same as in the 405, 406 etc? Leading on from this do the HDI engines now in the 406 use the same gearboxes as the old 1.9 i.e are the bellhousings the same? does this mean it would be possible to put a HDI engine in an LDV van (albeit alot of work) -
Peugeot 306D Engine Series 7 Jul 2007 (Forum)
Hi, I know there's a rule with Peugeots that the engine series is "hidden" within the VIN number (need to know the engine series in order to buy the correct stop-solenoid in case anyone's wondering!). The VIN number in question is VF37AD9B2302XXXXX - can one of the Pug experts out there tell me which part of this gobbledygook is the engine series?! -

Peugeot 306 Turbo Diesel 20 Aug 2001 (Forum)
I have just travelled almost 3,000 miles through France with no problems, but on my return, my Peugeot 306 has developed a problem with starting. It starts up OK but runs very unevenly for about five seconds. The glow plugs have been checked are are fine. There is no water leak, so the head gasket is OK. -

Peugeot 308 - Peugeot 308 - good buy second hand or a money pit? 24 Feb 2020 (Forum)
I see that the Peugeot 308s are available at very attractive prices, in the second hand market. They are available at prices the Focus used to be available at, 5 - 6 years ago. Are they an under-rated car and a good buy, or are they potential lemons, and the pricing reflects that? -

Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - 1998 2.0d - conrod failure. 5 May 2008 (Forum)
This car has only done 46k miles to date (plus 150 miles on the back of a trailer coming back from Salisbury!) On Monday I rang Peugeot UK, they wanted me to take it to a Peugeot dealer garage to strip it down and take a look at why this has happened! Mega bucks I thought if Peugeot are not going to pay for it! I spoke to the local Peugeot garage and the Service Manager said Peugeot will NOT admit liability. -
