95 1.9xrd Engine not starting - Phill
Hi

I have a N reg Peugeot xrd 1.9 that will not start.
The fuel filter is clean and there is a good supply of fuel.
Fuel vents from the fuel pump, but there is NO fuel supply to the injectors.

Has anyone any ideas

Phill

{N reg - that'll be something like 1995 then, and not 1993; amended}

What's the immobilizer doing?

As far as I could tell the immobilizer was clear.

Could be the stop solonoid not opening. Does it have a keypad? If not the solonoid is quite easy to get at and change.

there is no keypad.
have tried removing the solenoid, now have fuel at the injectors, but engine not firing, seems the engine is turning too slow even when on jumpers from a running car.

The solonoid seems to be your primary problem then. You need a good battery on the vehicle to start a diesel. For the ammount of current the starter requires the resistance of jump leads is far to high. If you are sure that your battery is good, check all the connections, especially the earth connection to the engine, if all is OK you probably have a duff starter.

Get a good battery then disconnect air intake and spray in good supply of easy start. Similar thing happened to mine and this is what nice man from AA did.
