  • Janis Joplin’s Porsche sells for £1.2m 21 Dec 2015 (News)
    The singer bought the car from a used car dealer in 1968 . Joplin commissioned friend and roadie Dave Richards to customize it. The result was a psychedelic mural called ‘History of the Universe’ – which made the cabriolet one of the first ‘art cars’.

  • Techno Classica 2015: Topless Lamborghini Miura is a treat 16 Apr 2015 (News)
    A stunning one-off Miura roadster was the big draw on the Lamborghini stand at this year’s Essen classic car show. The one-off Miura was built by Bertone as a show car for the 1968 Brussels motor show. It appeared at several other shows that year, and was then sold. Of course, a few other Miuras have been given the tin-opener treatment, but as far as we know this is the only factory-built soft-top.
