Toyota Yaris 1.3 - Auto gearbox intermittent no drive 31 Jan 2022 (Forum)
On one occasion the car failed to select reverse, then forward and after three attempts she switched the engine off a few times and eventually she was able to get drive. Having a baby in the back was obviously worrying for her . Has anyone an idea if this is potentially a terminal fault or hopefully something simple to fix. The car is in good condition and has had nothing , yes nothing gone wrong in the last four years and passed its MOT every time. -
Renault Talisman 160 edc Initiale Paris estate - Left Hand Drive Car Insurance 1 May 2021 (Forum)
I want to register my Talisman in the UK, but as Renault did not sell this car in the country, there is no compatible right hand drive model in the database of insurers. I do not want to register the car in the UK if it is going to be difficult or very costly to insure. One insurance company has offered to insure the car based on its VIN number whilst it is transferred onto British plates, but the cost is nearly £700 for the first year’s insurance. -
Driving while stoned 25 Nov 2018 (Forum)
Or approach the driver and politely and calmly give them an earful? I’m disgusted that someone would drive under the influence. -
Honda Jazz CVT 7 2006 model - Car "stutters" whilst driving around town 30 Jun 2017 (Forum)
Hi, My Honda Jazz has been fantastic except on occasion it seems to "stutter" whilst driving around town as though the fuel has been restricted. This only lasts for a fraction of a second and is completely intermitent, no problems on motorways. I have had the car thorougly checked over but no problems detected. -
Ford Fiesta 1.6 tdci (90) - Flat spot / loss of power 2 Jun 2016 (Forum)
Hi, I drive a Ford Fiesta 1.6 tdci 57 plate, and have a very consistent flat spot around 3100rpm. I've logged a drive in third gear and it shows the boost pressure climb to 29psi until it hits 3100rpm when it starts declining. -
Ford Focus 1.6 Auto - M.O.T questions 6 Nov 2015 (Forum)
I had my Ford Focus M.O.T'd January 2015. I had to have a rear tyre fitted. Afterwards I had a 3 hour drive to where I was moving to and when I got there I noticed a nail in the rear tyre. I have been driving it like that for the last nine months, it does not lose air pressure. Will it fail the M.O.T for having a nail in the tyre? -

Driving License Revoked 4 Mar 2013 (Forum)
I was stopped in May 2012 and it transpired that my driving license was revoked for an offense in 2005, which I was unaware of. I had been to court for an MS90 (failure to ID driver) and was found guilty and paid my fine. I subsequently had another MS90 from the same court, for which I didn't appear to make a plea, and was found guilty in my absense, and fine again. -
peugeot 306 - my 306 has developed a stutter 31 Jan 2013 (Forum)
whilst driving ive noticed an intermittant loss of power abit like when you'rerunning out of fuel then it drives fine for a bit then does it again and got worse recently then clear up for a bit then came back but this time when it happened was accompanied by a sound that i can only describe as very similar to that of driving along the rumble strip on the motorway but if you push your foot down on the accelerator and speed up it clears for a bit, obviously its a fueling issue of some sort but was wondering how to sort it out as never had peugeots before and new to them -
Nissan X-Trail (2001 - 2007) - 06 2.2 Bent drive shafts? 4 Nov 2012 (Forum)
My X Trail vibrates when accelerating above 40 mph. My local dealership have informed me that "all they can think of" is that the drive shafts are bent. There are no signs of damage and of course the warranty would not cover the work (which amounts to £1500). Any thoughts would be much appreciated as to whether this is an accurate diagnosis or whether the vibration could be caused by anything else.
