  • Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - 00 2.0 HDI Major Problems - help please? 1 Apr 2009 (Forum)
Said there was a fault that could of caused the high pressure pump to go. So fixed ECU placed back into car and still no luck. Took car to peugeot(i know your thinking, do all that THEN take it to peugeot! remember i was originally quoted £15 for a heater plug relay). Anyway peugeot said errors coming up were to do with pressure regulator gone causing the car to run on after keys taken out, also swarf was found in the back of the filter housing.
  • Should someone else pay for this injector problem? 31 May 2013 (Ask HJ)

  • Peugeot 2008 - First service, lamb to slaughter 30 Oct 2020 (Forum)
As far as I can tell it involves about thirty quid's worth of oil (3.5 litres, which actually doesn't need changing as it's only done 5,000 miles), an oil filter (about a fiver) and a few minutes worth of checks.  Arbury Motors have quoted me £200 - " the prices are fixed by Peugeot".     Apparently it also includes a wash (also unnecessary).  Transfixed, I resolve to bite this bullet just once as the warranty (which SWMBO insists on preserving) is thankfully for only two years.
  • Citroen Berlingo / Peugeot Partner - Future-proof road tax uk 26 Sep 2020 (Forum)
Hello - First time poster here! In the near future Im looking at upgrading my current seat ibiza (1.2 petrol) for a peugeot partner or citroen berlingo to use as a daily driver, occasional campervan and all round workhorse My budget is fairly tight at a max of around £8k Ideal specs are < 50k miles, newer than 2010 For around 6-8k Ive found a lot of  2011 - 2014 - 1.6 HDI diesel models with road tax around £145 Compared to this around 8-10k I can get 2016 - 2019 blueHDI models with £30 and lower road tax My question is: How likely is it that that standard HDI models will increase from £145 a yr tax (given the imminent rise of EV cars, restrictions on diesel / petrol etc).
  • 2019 Peugeot 2008 - Rattle puzzle 2 Aug 2020 (Forum)
After a sunny afternoon pic-nicking and people-watching in nearby Leamington Spa Park, we returned to be proudly told the solution.  They nearly gave up, but all credit to them for perseverance...'Peugeots don't rattle, sir'.  Naturally I had scoured the internet for a possible solution but apart from a batch of early disintegrating BIO cambelts and one report of a spark plug breaking up I could find no significant problem with this model.

And thus it starts   Car is a 2012 1.6 diesel with the Eloys system with a tank under the car...   So it went into Peugeot dealers with a quote to fill tank and reset the tank    6 hours later and they tell me i need:- A windscreen, a clutch, a tyre, a car battery, a key battery, front brakes (only done 12,000 miles ago), and other bric-a-brac However the DPF is FUBAR and they wont fill the DPF fluid tank  Eventually they get 1ltr in but wont "bother" resetting it...........
  • Peugeot 308 - Tensioner/Alternator belt 4 Feb 2017 (Forum)
Just bought a used Peugeot 308 2L Bluehdi Auto reg Nov 2015 with 17000mls on the clock. After 2 days and 20 miles the engine warning light came on with the accompanying message "Engine fault : have the vehicle repaired". I immediately took it back to the Franchised garage I had just bought it from and who had fully serviced it prior to sale and their diagnostics revealed "P058D00 Battery voltage value invalid".

I am also working on old outboard engines as a hobby where I have rebuilt carburettors, installed new coils points & condensers and head gaskets.
  • Peugeot 207 - Am I being ripped off? 3 Jan 2014 (Forum)
Hi all I should start by saying I know very little about cars. If it moved, that'll do! I have a 2008 Peugeot 207 and yesterday started getting an 'anti pollution fault' message on the dashboard. Took it to the dealership today and they've said that I need; Oxygen sensor Thermostat housing Mass air sensor At total cost of £598.66 I admit, I was a little naive, bought the car 18 months ago and was told it only need servicing every 2 years.
  • Peugeot 206 - Intermittent starting problem 12 Jan 2013 (Forum)
I wondered if anyone had any ideas about the cause of the problem that my wife has been experiencing with her 54 reg Peugeot 206. The problem is that after she has been driving for say about 20 minutes or so, and then gone shopping for about 30 minutes the engine will not start. Waiting in the car for about 5 minutes and then trying again, the engine does start and the car is fine.

Peugeot 306 2.0 Diesel HDi. History: Car broke down, diagnosis by AA was fuel pump. Pump was seized (This is the fuel pump that sits in the tank) I replaced the pump with another VDO part. Since then intermittently the engine will only rev up to a maximum of 2,300 rpm.

  • Peugeot 406 (1999 - 2004) - 99 2.00 Fuel Promblem 6 Jun 2009 (Forum)
Hi new on so here go's I have a Peugeot 406 diesel Est. it was running fine up until 4 weeks ago then it started to cut out when i put my foot down a little on the motoway, i pull over sat for 5 mins then it started again, it slowly got worse over 3 weeks, then one day on my way home from work it just stopped all together, also when it cut a light came on the one for the fuel injection one, so i was told it could be the relay for the glow plugs, i change that, then i put new glow plugs in it, i changed the fuel filter and it still wont start, i,ve now been told it could be the fuel pump in the fuel tank.
