  so the new suzuki swift automatic is a 1.2 current/old model auto i have is 1.5 and perfectly enough power/umph for long journeys what will i buy next is now the question as i had assumed i would get another swift but unlikely to get an underpowered 1.2 any ideas?

  When I got a photocard licence back I'd lost this entitlement. Does having a full car licence still give you the automatic right to ride a moped (without L-plates) or have the rules been changed?

  Is anyone able to recommend a transmission shop, ideally Midlands or SE, for diagnostics and rebuild of my automatic transmission?   My engine management light come on when I decellerate or brake from speeds above 60 mph, this does not occur every time nor does it happen at speeds below 60 mph. My car is a Vauxhall Astra 1.6 GLS Automatic

  You just put your (in my case Visa) card in, it comes out a second later, and the barrier lifts - faster than cash. Do they get special dispensation? Why do automatic petrol pumps (to use another motoring example) need a PIN?

  recently bought new i20 classic, on test drive doors locked automatically as i drove off which i was told was standard , but my car hasn't done this. Phoned dealer they don't seem to think that classic has this option and are getting back to me. Can anyone help me out ?????

  I do as well but it would be a bit to small for my needs. He said that when he enquired he was told there was no automatic option. Does anyone know if this is the case? It would seem an oversight for a city car. I tried checking a couple of web sites but both were very slow and eventually hung!

  A friend of mine has 6 points on his licence. He has just been "done" for doing 51 mph in a 30 mph limit. Is this an automatic 6 points and a ban? If so what are the chances of him being able to talk his way out of the ban? He has plenty of mitigation, i.e. employs 4 or 5 people. If banned, how long is it likely to be?

  I need to remove the piece of wood trim surrounding the gear lever (it is an automatic) so that I can get access to the window switches and replace the drivers side set. Please can someone tell me how to remove the trim thanks.

  I'm currently driving a courtesy car - Golf GT, 56 reg, diesel automatic. I'm trying to find out how much bhp it has. I was looking on the interweb and some reports seemed to suggest it has 168bhp and others were saying 140bhp. The VW site doesn't help. Anyone know where I can get a definitive answer?

  i'm building an AUTOMATIC trike for a disabled friend and he wants me to use his alfa flat four engine from a 'cloverleaf'? did alfa make one? is there one made by someone else that might / will fit? it needs to be the transaxle type to allow it to be mid engined and also to gain access for the rider. many thanks in advance.

  I have just bought a Renault 5 1.4 Campus 1993 for my daughter (23000 miles 1 owner drives like new). The automatic choke/ enrichment will not shut off and the tickover is about 2000revs plus . I understand that this was common on that model. Can anybody give me advice?. PS Hello to everybody from Sunny Wales as I am new to the forum.

  I have just bought a 1996 Toyota Celica Cabriolet, with a 2Litre twin cam 16 valve, automatic, she is a grey import, and I am trying to identify the exact model, is there any way that I can find this detail, for example from the VIN? I have tried searching your archive for this but couldn't see anything any help would be gratefully recieved

  To start my car i usually put the key in, enter a code then a green light flashes on the display and that means i can start the ignition. But the green light is automatically on when i put the key in the ignition initially. Basically it starts without entering the code. No code needed. Citroen Saxo 1.1 sx 1997 r -reg immobiliser in console. Please advise. Thanks.
