  Glass's Names its Heaviest Depreciators 26 Aug 2009 (News)
    Models from a number of other manufacturers feature in the ‘bottom 10’ - including Proton, Mitsubishi and Nissan - and none of these achieves a residual value better than 25 per cent. The findings come from detailed analysis by Glass’s Guide of its 'book' values of all three-year-old cars available in the UK - over 6,500 model ranges in total.

  Market commentators are predicting September to be a bumper month for new car sales as dealers look to profit from the introduction of the new 70-plate and offer discounts to hit quarterly targets.  Nissan has knocked £5500 off the £26,770 price of a 1.5-litre diesel Nissan Qashqai, while SEAT has reduced the asking price of the 95PS 1.0-litre petrol Ibiza SE to £16,475 - a £2610 saving on the list price.

  Super Touring car display set for Goodwood 30 Sep 2015 (News)
  The ‘Super Touring’ name came into being in 1995 and was applied to the set of touring car regulations that became the BTCC’s sole class in ’91 that centered around two-litre, normally-aspirated saloons such as the Vauxhall Cavalier and Nissan Primera. The Members’ Meeting track activity will focus on the spectacular winged machines of 1995-2000 that resulted in championship successes for John Cleland, Frank Biela, Alain Menu, Rickard Rydell and Laurent Aiello.

  The Z Club of Great Britain is back for this year with a selection of cars covering over 30 years of Nissan Z history, including a 280 ZX and 300ZX. The Nissan 300C Owners Club is marking its 10th birthday as a club at the show and will be supporting Help for Heroes with their stand this year. They’ll be showing an ’86 300C, amongst others.

  Mazda MX-5 GT to Take on Supercars in British GT Championship 22 Mar 2012 (News)
  Sponsored by SMH Fleet Solutions, Mazda Financial Services and Jota Aviation, the Mazda MX-5 GT will compete in the GT4 class against Lotus, Aston Martin, Ginetta and Nissan. Following a development year in 2011, which saw the Mazda MX-5 GT run a successful campaign in the Britcar Production GTN Championship, the competitiveness of the car was forcefully demonstrated at the final race of the season at Brands Hatch.  The nimble Mazda finished fifth overall, trading places with the more powerful Porsches, Ferraris and Lotus.

  The supermini database is 45,000 Warranty Direct policies. The Sunderland-built old-shape Nissan Micra records reliability Index Rating of just 7.99, presenting an average bill of £88.83 to the owner. Brake problems account for 73 percent of all mechanical failures. The sector's best selling model, Ford's Fiesta, comes next with a rating of 40.78 - thanks to a low cost of repair but a 1 in 4 chance of visiting the garage.

  Quiet Day at Blackbushe 29 Aug 2005 (News)
  Not a lot going on a Blackbushe auction centre today. Just a general sale, a small fleet and finance section and part-exchanges from West London Nissan, Hartwells and Pendragon. Most of the regular traders had taken the day off too so there were more bank holidaymaking members of the public than anyone else. Though they tended to take the bidding a bit further than the trade would have, some drove home in bargains.

People anxious about the range of electric vehicles will almost certainly be concerned by the lack of charging points, and this news may well have an adverse effect on the popularity of pure EVs.

  Next year's Infiniti FX shown off in Geneva 5 Mar 2008 (News)
  "Created as a fusion of sports car and SUV, with breathtaking styling, sports car-like proportions and an advanced sports sedan platform, the new FX is a showcase of Infiniti's design and technology leadership," the firm commented. Infiniti is a luxury car division founded in 1989 and is a subsidiary of Nissan. Its headquarters can be found in Tokyo.

  Surprising to some people, but no surprise to me, the old 1993 to 2000 Mondeo was the ninth most reliable, and with reasonable average repair costs (not bad for a car that can now be picked up for less than £500), while the 1993 - 2003 Nissan Micra was tenth. The Toyota Yaris that came out least costly on average to repair at £89.68 was eleventh most reliable. Least reliable have been the Renault Espace and Alfa Romeo GTV.

  BCA lines up convertibles for summer 28 Mar 2008 (News)
  Hundreds of motorists are expected to head to BCA Blackbushe for the Live Online convertible sales on the 14th and 28th April. On offer will be convertibles from GM Vauxhall, Nissan, Renault, Volkswagen and Ford, as well as models from the BMW 3-series and the Porsche Boxster. According to BCA national account manager Alan Gupwell, such events always cause a stir among enthusiasts.

  Morgan to debut zero-emission sports car 6 Mar 2008 (News)
  It is set to be one of a number of environmentally-friendly vehicles on show in Geneva until March 16th, with Volvo, Nissan, Toyota and Honda among the manufacturers exhibiting hybrids. Cadillac is also set to introduce its fuel cell concept vehicle Provq to European audiences during the event.
