  The cost is £70 each but that's not all. Rather like a key the TPI has to be coded to the car and the Peugeot garage say that would be a minimum charge of £40 Of course we all know that the actual job will be 35 seconds - connect a lead, press a couple of buttons and job done, but apparently the software is only available to Peugeot dealers so - once again - it's a captive market If you dont have it done then every journey starts with a warning that there is a TPI missing.

  Hi guys, The engine on my 306 died. I took it to a garage whom quoted £1500 to change it......... So, I looked around and found a peugeot breaker in norfolk, I phoned the guy who was confident from the chassis number that they had an engine the same, so i ordered it and it came today. The guy that is fitting it phoned me to say it is different, I haven't seen it yet but he says the main of it is the same and something about the ignition is different?

    Hi. Looking for help with my wifes 2015 Peugeot 208 1.2 petrol with 65000 miles.   Late last year after checking the oil, which i do at least every other week i noticed it had lost at least a litre of oil since i last checked so i topped it up and took it to the Garage and was told that no leaks but some older cars burn oil and just keep topping it up.

  Hi All, Just joined the forum in the hope of a little advice for my daughter, none of our family are that clued up on cars so I apologies in advance if I'm asking a daft question so please be lenient in any chastisement!  She recently bought a brand new Peugeot 208 1.2L Petrol with a manual gearbox.  She's been having a few problems getting it into reverse, which I've now experienced myself.  Basically intermittently it's not possible to get the car into reverse gear, it gets half way into the gear slot and stops and won't go any further.

  I have no idea whether there is a 2 litre diesel version of this car but this one is petrol driven (fnf engine?). The defeatist attitude is that this is a known fault with Peugeot cars but as is the Peugeot way they won't aknowledge it plus the fact that no-one seems to have much faith in Peugeot garages being any the wiser anyway.   Hi there Recently the engine my 1997 Peugeot 406 2.1 LX DT has been racing at low revs when sat at lights or in traffic and then the diagnostic light would come on and the engine stop.
