  Although the diaphragm is not split it has delaminated, I don't know if this could be the cause of the fault. Peugeot tell me that the diaphragm is not supplied on its own and I need to buy the complete throttle housing. Some help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

  Can anyone please help me. I have an '03 Peugeot 206cc. When i alarm the car using the keyfob it locks but the alarm goes off after appox 30 seconds and the digital display shows that the bonnet has been opened. This has occured since a rather large woman decided to sit on the corner of the bonnet.

  My 1996 Peugeot 406 (no aircon) has the dreaded smell of antifreeze when the heater is on. I am guessing that the heater meatix needs to be replaced. My Haynes manual indicates that the matrix can be accessed by removing the glove box, but having spent the best part of a sunny Saturday taking the glove box out and a few other panels besides, I can't see how the matrix will ever come out without removing the entire fascia.

  When he tries to restart immediately, engine will turn over but not start. Leave it for a couple of minutes and it will start ok. Took it to his local Peugeot independent who hooked it up to computer and it came up with an error of an injector fault. One injector was found to be faulty and repaired. However problem still persists although less frequent.

  I've currently got a peugeot 306L 1.9 Diesel, t reg. I have seen a vauxhall astra envoy tdi 1.7 (52 plate) and am busy comparing the two to figure out should i go for the astra as my new car. Whilst the 306 is lovely to drive, we do a couple long journeys a year in it, and we could use more space.

  Some friends of mine own a Peugeot Boxer camper van . It's W [99] reg and they've had it in for a service before the summer.The mechanics have said it needs new front disks and have charged over £200 upfront to order them .I have checked the disks through the wheels rims , have'nt had time to take the wheels off and they have the usual rust grooves at the edges but otherwise seem OK.I have allways lightly skimmed my disks with a small angle grinder to remove rust and finish off with emery paper and there as good as new.

  Peugeot 307 110bhp turbo-diesel, 2 years & 13,000 miles. Following its first major service it intermittently stinks badly of diesel in the cabin, most consistently after running normally a while from cold, until it's at least half-warm, then pulling up at a junction.

  I have a 1999 Peugeot 306 2.0L 16v. The problem is similar to many others in these threads, but I hope someone can clarify a point. The symptoms are intermittent and two fold, firstly when the foot is taken off the accelerator the revs can drop to 500rpm, occasionally stalling, a loss of power is experienced for a few seconds, as if running on only 2 or 3 cylinders before picking up.

  All I've just bought a 3 year old Peugeot 406 HDi 90 estate, which seems in excellent condition. However, the clutch 'bite' point seems very high (i.e. the pedal needs to be released a long way). Is this normal? I'm told (rightly or wrongly) that the hydraulic clutch is 'self adjusting' and the bite point cannot be altered; but I'm slightly concerned that maybe this means the clutch is nearing the end of it's life(?)

  My wife (it will be her car for the school run as well as family holidays) hates the V70 inside (I must say that I don't disagree), and the centre seat in the back is virtually unusable - so we have decided on the 406. I have found a 2000 x reg 2.0 GTX with 51,000 miles going privately for just under £7k - full Peugeot service history. What do people think - a reasonable deal? Thanks for your help Rick
