MotorEasy extended warranty 26 Oct 2002 (Forum)
Unsurprisingly, all exotica are excluded (including the Fiat Croma), and higher premiums are required for large BMWs, Jags/Daimlers, Land Rovers, Audi Quattros/Turbos/V8s, Alfa V6 and turbos, Renault 25 Turbo and Safrane, and the Rover 825 -- which I guess says something statistical about not only maintenance costs (Merc and Lexus are in the same bracket in that respect) but also reliability. No additional premium required for Mercs and Lexus, it seems. Any comments? -

Best Merc CLK for £10k? 7 Nov 2005 (Forum)
I want a nice car for the occasional long run and holidays. Having considered Lexus LS, Audi A8, BMW 7 series I have come to the conclusion that a nice CLK in a strong colour below 100k miles would be best. But which one and what should I be getting for £10k? Thanks -
D.J.Walker puffs HJ 8 Apr 2004 (Forum)
The subject was that Skoda is right at the top of the favoured second hand cars, along with Jaguar and Lexus. Then JW praised HJ's column very highly. I didn't think that he would read the Telegraph, but there was I listening to Radio2. -

I'm confused and need direction. What to buy? Saab 9-3 convertible; Audi convertible; Audi 1.8T; Lexus IS 200; BMW in price range? I drive 15,000 mls/yr on A roads - few overtaking opportunities (need a car thats quick off the mark). Any suggestions? -
Any - Quiet cabin noise 22 Aug 2015 (Forum)
Looking for a used car with low cabin noise - Lexus IS250SE and Audi A4 2.0 petrol come to mind as good examples. Current car is Mercedes C250 CDI Bluemotion. Its my second in a row, and never again. Wouldnt want anything bigger than any of the above as its my "retirement" car. -
Jaguar XF (2008 - ) - Any thoughts? 28 Oct 2007 (Forum)
Looks quite good but bit concerned that the first thing I thought when I saw a photo was - that looks like a Lexus! tweaked subject line to accommodate new drop own menus -
Chav cars ??? 15 Mar 2006 (Forum)
What are the classic chav cars these days??? I recently asked a question about buying a high mileage Lexus 1S 200. Many Thanks for all comments - it was one that more or less described them as 'flash-harry' cars that got me wondering.(I know that a flash-harry is not necessarily a chav, but I'm thinking worst-case scenario here). -

U can get from a-b fairly easy with no fear of being scammed by the cameras. Lots of teenage "businessmen" in lexus is200's. What are the best/worst things about driving in your area ??????????? -
Are custom cars still created? 27 Jun 2003 (Forum)
Does anybody still create custom cars? By custom car I don't mean putting a big exhaust, alloys and 'Lexus' lights on a Saxo/Corsa/Fiesta shopping trolley! Is airbrushing still done? Are V12s shoehorned into Mondeos? Are rear suspensions ever raised? Are cars shortened or lowered? What happened to Mini Ha Ha? -
Any - Best & Worst Engineered Cars 8 Dec 2016 (Forum)
For my thinking, having now owned an Outback for 9 months I have to say that £ for £ it is the best engneerd car I have owned (even better than BMW & MB) and it is cear to me why you see websites conatining stories of people doing 400K to 500K miles in them without too much bother. After that it has got to be Honda, Mazda and Toyota/Lexus. -

Toyota Avalon TRD 2020 - what has once been seen cannot be unseen 21 Apr 2020 (Forum)
If you feel up to it check out images of the above car, i thought Toyota's recent Lexus offerings were dire looks wise, particularly with nose treatment, but the Avalon takes things to a whole new level way beyond ugly. -
Special feature/s perhaps unique to your car 18 Feb 2018 (Forum)
Regarding people having to place there remote key in a faraday bag to avoid toerags boosting the sensor, I have a Lexus, if having locked your car you hold down the lock button and press the unlock button twice, it disable the fob and the vehicle can't be opened, pressing any button reactivated the remote. -
Toyota Yaris 2014 - words fail me...what have Toyota done 19 Jul 2014 (Forum)
Who on earth passed this as fit for production, he or she should be sacked, i thought the latest front end treatment to the Lexus range was bad enough, but now i've seen the front end of this thing.... -

Can this compete with a Maybach? 15 Jan 2006 (Forum)
Some of you may come out with the attitude of "oh, but it's just a dressed up Toyota", but look at what Lexus is bringing out later this year. I'd buy it if I had the cash ;-) Rear seat relaxtion system even has a button marked Shiatsu!!! 8 speed auto transmission. 0-60 in 5.5 secs. http://www.familycar.com/RoadTests/LexusLS460/Photos.htm -
Mirror mirror on the wing 14 Aug 2001 (Forum)
I went to Brighton on Friday evening and a Lexus passed me on the M4. It was a big 4x4 soft road jobbie, looked like a Merc ML. It had normal door mirrors and what appeared to be a pair of smaller mirrors mounted further forward on the front wings. -
Lexus, Toyota, GM, others - Hybrids - good to drive? how about 2nd hand 24 Jan 2014 (Forum)
A diesel start up is hardly an enticing thing. I know the BMW in question is NOT a hybrid, but I also know that Toyota/Lexus, GM, Honda all have different approaches to their Hybrids. I once test drove a used Lexus 400h and by memory it pulls away from stationary entirely on electic power, and the petrol kicks in when needed, this would seem to me to be a far better solution. -
Lexus RX300 2006 62k mileage £4500 - Used vehicle not fit for purpose, dealer arguing 14 Jan 2022 (Forum)
I recently bought a Lexus RX300 2006 with 62k mileage for £4500 MOT was 10th Feb 2020, bought it on 10th May 2020. Test drive fine and everything seemed to run ok. 10 days later took for a full service and the garage told me the bad news about it having massive corrosion underneath with corroded pipes, major oil leak, parking brake broken, tyre down to the rim.
