• Audi A4 B7 - Turbo problems 1 Jul 2019 (Forum)
  Recently bought an Audi A4 1.9 TDI I’m having trouble with power coming on and off ever so slightly when I accelerate from 3rd to 5th I changed the boost control valve with no difference. I have been lead down the road of a new turbo but there is no play in the turbo I believe the vanes in the turbo are getting stuck has anyone a quick fix to this problem??

  I’ve just purchased a used Audi Q5 from a car supermarket. In the Auto Trader advert it stated that it had Bluetooth interface, DAB and Bang & Olufsen speakers - none of which it has. In contacting the salesman he said he has forwarded it on to their customer services department.

  My almost new Q7 has picked up a nail in the rear drivers side tyre. I have been advise by Audi that we must replace all four tyres as the 4x4 system will not function correctly with one of tyre treads having a different depth to the other three. The cost, a mighty twelve hundred pounds! Is this the most expensive puncture on record?

  I have noticed that there is a crack across the plastic case of the amplifier near the connectors. The fix on the Audi website involves fitting bulldog clips to squeeze the case and hence improve the connections on the PCB. But there is not sufficient room to clip the unit back in the fixings. Grateful your advice Cheers

  I have had a brand new Audi A3 Sportback for about three weeks. It is kept outside and has only done about 250 miles. From day 1, the brake discs have shown signs of yellowy discolouration, such that the front discs now appear almost gold in colour.

  My Audi (latest model) is currently running on Pirelli Cinturato P7 tyres which are causing a considerable noise into the cabin, which is so disappointing when the engine (1.4 C.O.D.) petrol turbo is so quiet and refined.

  2006 2.0tdi Engine number BRE 03366   Im looking to buy a really nice example of this car but ive read horror stories of balancer shaft issues eating the engine Can anyone confirm if this engine number has known issues. I was planning on ringing audi to ask them and if there were any recalls for the car   many thanks

  I am looking at a couple of Audi Tts this weekend. They are mainly on 2008/09 plates, with between 17k&35k on the clock. What sort of price should I be aiming for? 2 are private, a couple are at a dealer , and a local garage has said they would consider doing the legwork with another private sale, giving me a warranty etc.

    The door can be unlocked and opened externally using the key rather than the fob.  I suspect that there is an internal link that has become disconnected.  Audi, of course, want to replace the locking unit at c.£450.  Is there a more economic solution?

  I bought a '07 audi from an Arnold Clark centre and did not notice that one door panel has been resprayed. When inspecting the car it was not noticeable - prob because of rain and white polish marks on all surfaces. Does anyone know where I stand with this bad situation?

  Help! Is there an adjustment on the Audi A5 electronic handbrake? When on holiday in Cornwall and stopping on steep hills the electronic handbrake would release but the car would roll backwards  unless I rode the clutch and increased the revs.

  Audi 1.9Tdi PD AWX. Been driven gently for 122K. The symptoms the owner reports sounds like the turbo vanes may be sticking. I have heard of cleaners that can be added. Can anyone recommend any of these although I find it difficult to image how, after combustion, there can be something other then hot gases and soot that could effect the turbo.

  i have a problem with my Audi revving up and down like its hunting for fuel and sometimes its really hard to start needing lots of throttle or needing none at all,it is running badly and not very economical,i have ordered a new air flow meter as that can cause this,any other suggestions?

  Hi, Recently purchased an Audi A4 avant automatic 2.0l. There seems to be a problem with the boot lock. It won't shut properly and I seem to have to drive round with it open and can't lock it at night. Any common problems that I should know of and how would I go about rectifying the problem?

  Hello Folks, I've just been reading a motoring magazine in which it suggested that VW/Audi FSI/TFSI engines should be run on high octane fuel. It claims that using regular unleaded will cause running or starting problems. Anyone got any ideas on this. I always thought it was only high performance cars that benefited from this?.

  hi just bought an audi A4 1.6 p plate was not runnin very good would sometimes cut out or revs would rise if sittin out of gear since then it has cut out and wont restart any ideas wot it could be ? when tryin to start car it trys but just wont kick in could it be fuel pump ?

  Hi. I have an audi a2 1.4 tdi which has a 'misfire' above 2500 revs. It sort of cuts in and out under hard accelaration. Also, the glow plug light flashes and the fuel guage doesn't work and I wondered if there was any conection.
