• Peugeot 405 Diesel Running Problems 12 Jan 2004 (Forum)
  I have a 405 diesel - and it runs fine most of the time. When you have to go up hill it loses all power and really struggles - as soon as you start to go back down the hill - all is fine again. I'm thinking the pickup to from the fuel tank might have become blocked as the car had been standing a while before I had it.

  Hi today I have been the unfortunate vctim of a minor hit and run incident. Som toerag has decided to leave a nice dent on the rear quarter panel of my car. I think it may have been caused by some body reversing into it at say 5-10mph. Surprisingly the paintwork seems undamaged.

  I have just bought a 172 and its states that it should run on 98RON petrol only, does this mean I can't use 95RON standard unleaded? The only 98RON petrol is Optimax as far as I know so must I run the car using that or is standard 97RON Super Unleaded acceptable..

  Our 1995N 1.1 Fiesta (73,000 miles) has developed a habit of starting OK, running for 2-300 yards, stopping, then refusing to start. This tends to happen when slowing down to negotiate a junction. There's plenty of life in the battery, but it won't fire. If you then tow it, it will start and run perfectly well.

  I own a Renualt clio 66/17 model with the running light at the bottom of the bumper. Yesterday my car was in lookers having a service and MOT on the last day of the 4 year warranty. I was informed that the passenger side running light was full of condensation and for me to keep a eye on it incase water gets in causing an electrical fault and if it gets worse, Then they would contact renault to supply and fix a new sealed running light, When checking the light, I could see how bad it was for condensation, So i asked why can't it be done now, The lady on the desk told me, Renault wont replace it because its not in a bad enough condition,  This to me sounds crazy, There is a fault with the sealed unit, Why wait for it to get worse and even with condensation, Could it not cause an electrical fault.

  I have a Toyota Yaris from brand new in Dec 2009, I hardly use it and only run less 5000 miles so far. My dilemma is, under Toyota warranty term, it need to have full services at 24 months, otherwise the warranty will be invalid. When l did the Interim Service on 1st year, it only run about 4000 miles.

  Sorry but I have lost the information I was following on the threads (everything seems so old I wanted to see if the site is still active) No one wants to work on it. The car was running fine. Parked up one night. went to it in the morning and it was as if we had run out of petrol. so put petrol in, still nothing. I have had 4 mechanics looking at the car and it has to be recovered on a lorry every time to another garage.

  bought before xmas,and was anon starter,replaced battery and checked all basic stuff and after it one day cranking and not firing and then another day not even cranking it finally sprung into life...runs and drives great,but engine light on in dash,but only runs and starts when it wants too..when it starts and runs the light is on,then it will just stop either on a run or while on spot,and not start again,just crank and not fire,at this point the engine light will be off,then when it decides too a few days or longer after it will start again and be great untill the next time.....with the light on again!

  The test was two engines - one in a car the other on a bench. Both engines had the product put in, run for a while then the oil removed and left empty. The car was then taken on a very long run (over two hours) and it didn't seize. The second engine was a V8 on a test bed. This was running with no oil and then the water hose was cut - the engine continued running.
