  The wooden car has a top speed of 101mph The two-seater was put together using the chassis and 602cc engine from a Citroen 2CV. Mr Wood then built up layers of African mahogany around a basic mould using a boat-building technique known as 'cold moulding'. The car is a a three-wheel adaption of the classic four-wheeled 1969 Citroen Diane and is able to do between 55 and 70 miles per gallon.

  Did expect it to be a bit roly- poly reading the reviews prior to buying, but personally haven't noticed any of that. Finally- thanks to all the Citroen owners- your comments about reliability were one of the factors in buying this car.

  Hello, i'm new here and this is my first post. I'm a 20 y/o male on my way to passing my test and would like a new Citroen C2 as my first car, probably a 1.1 design. Would you recommend this as a first car, or if not could you recommend any others? I have also been looking at the new Clio and Peugeot 207 with interest but fear these may be a bit too expensive insurance wise as the Citroen does have free insurance for a year thrown in.
