  Hello, my mate as the 05 plate 318i 2.0ltre petrol bmw. He just took it to a local garage for a service and they said because it went over the service limit they can't take off the service indicator? They said it must go back to bmw for this to be done?

  I see one of the car supermarkets is selling un-registered, but old model 5-series BMW's at a considerable discount to the current model. Does anyone have any information on these cars. I understand that they are the result of over-production. If so, have they been standing in a field for five years.

  Some one is offering me a BMW 320 estate. G reg, 140,000, BMW service history to 90,000 then small garage stuff (always BMW parts he assures me). He's had it 5 years. Looks good, sounds good but interior a bit scruffy (couple of rips in the velour).

   YTOu could buy a BMW at a dealer with FSN at 45k miles and its only had two oil changes - ridiculous.  Some independent specialists religiously follow BMW service schedules and some do not, so even quality varies amongst independents.

  Can anyone advise please? I have recently changed by 2010 BMW 320i Touring for a new 2013 model - same spec. I have a set of BMW supplied alloys and winter tyres for old car but can't use them on the new vehicle because the tyre size has changed from 225/45 R17 on the 2010 model to 225/50 R17 on the 2013 car.

  I have had this car from new, using a Nokia 6310i with Bluetooth.  Phone has packed up and need new with Bluetooth compatible with the BMW's. Have checked out the BMW site for compatability, but cannot enter my model year, possibly because it's too old?  Anyone help please?

  Does anybody know why the soft top needs to be impregnated? I've done it every 6-8 months with the BMW stuff which costs £20 for a small bottle. Can anyone recommend a non BMW chemical which will do the same job but obviously cheaper?

  Hi ,I'm after more help again. I've changed front and rear brake pads on my BMW 320D (E46)a few weeks ago, but the warning light still remains on. Anyone know, does it need re-setting by BMW, or have I just not made a good enough connection with the sensors?? Thank you

  Can anybody advise me on how to change the automatic gearbox oil on my 1993 5 speed BMW 320i which does not have a dipstick. How do I know when the box is full? Haynes manual says leave it to a BMW garage, but that goes against my principles. Help please, Best Wishes for the new year.GGH

  I bought the car new in April 2007, to keep 10 years doing 10K mostly off-peak miles p.a. Had BMW Main Dealer Servicing for 3 years, then turned to an Independent Garage who did the next service in May 2011. The turbo failed in October 2011 at just 45K miles. I phoned BMW UK who were unhelpful as I had no extended warranty.
