  hi all my renault laguna 2.2td has done 140k and just had full service but still kicks out excessive grey smoke on starting and then random huge plumes of smoke when been running for a couple of hours it starts first time every time and drives fine please help thanks

  Hi, the hazard warning button on my 2000 1.9d kangoo is bust (won't switch off so I've got it dangling and taped closed) Does anybody know if any other renaults (scenic etc) use the same switch? thanks in advance, Mike.

  Does anyone have any experience of both electric windows suddenly refusing to work in a Renault Kangoo (1999, 1.9d) or any car in general? The fuses are fine. The toggle switches that operate them however, dont seem to be receiving any power. It could be a long hot summer in this particular Kangoo!!

  The yellow service warning light accompanied by the fault code "check injection" comes up on my 53 plate Renault Megane II 1.9DCi. It usually goes off after 5 minutes of driving, What is the most likely fault - any previous experiences with this?

  Hi, can you help me. my X reg renault scenic expression ( auto) was running fine until this morning... when i started the car it struggled slightly and when idling was very juddery. when i moved off i noticed a lack of power and was quite noisey (juddery) and the orange engine light was flashing.

  Hi everybody, I have a Renault Megane 1998 5 door. The problem is that one of the rear doors has jammed shut. I have managed to remove the door trim from the inside, the lock is moving as I activate the central locking but doesnt seem to move enough to open the door.

  Hi, I've currently hiring a renault megane 1.6v, however with the recent bad weather i've been using my screen wash quite abit whilst travelling. The thing is i need to refill this but for the life of me i cannot find the bonnet release handle/button anywhere i the car, i thought it would be under the steering column, but nowt...can anyone help....

  Recently in London Hired a renault scenic tdi1.9, nice engine, power, economy and torque, easy to obtain 45mpg. However poor interior erognomics, no arm rest, electric window switches placed too forward as well electric miror switches, column stalk design confusing as well electronic dashboard.

  HI I bought my wife a new Renault Megane The interior has a really pungent smell. Not sure if its from all the plastic or carpets. When the car stands in the sun for a while its even worse! Any idea how to reduce or eliminate the smell!!

  Just reading "used car buyer" this month. "Quirky,wacky,weird" words you'll use when discussing Renault's short-lived model range flagship. The Avantime was introduced in April 2002 and killed in April 2003. They sold 4500 worldwide and 300 in the UK. People paid £27,000 for the Privilege model new, and the value now is plummeting "like a spanner down a lift shaft".

  Occasionally the engine immobiliser will not deactivate (the red light on the dashboard still flashes after the ignition key is turned) causing the car not to start, What component is causing this to happen ?. Can it be fixed or replaced ? Any advice would be most welcome, its already been to a Renault main dealer who can't find a fault and charged my wife £30 to re-program the Remote Control !

  Got a lift in a mint one owner 94 2.0Vi Renault Safrane today. Beautiful quiet and immaculate car with 80,000 miles and 8 months MOT. Owner has just bought a new Laguna and is collecting on Monday. Told me he was putting the car up for sale next week at £450 (the original trade in price).

  I have had two go in the space of three weeks. Has anyone else had a similar problem? I am told by a Renault dealership that this is a common fault but because it is not specific to a make/model, they have not issued a recall. I presume that this means that I have to continue to foot the bill myself. I would be interested to hear if anyone has suffered the same problem and what the outcome was.

  Recently got hold of a Renault 19 TD (RT) and took if for some new tyres. About 9 hours after fitting them the car makes what i can only describe a rubbery noise when braking! a sort of squeak, and it now makes some odd knocking/wobbling noises when you turn to the right. any ideas?
