• 2008 Peugeot 308 1.6 / 2016 Fiat 500x 1.4T petrol - MPG better driving north? 16 Dec 2022 (Forum)
  The difference for both cars is only about 2 mpg but the south to north is always better. As a matter of interest the Peugeot gave better overall mpg than the Fiat by a couple of mpg. I'm looking forward to any theories.

  Hi guys, I would like to buy a cheap used car and the majority of cars that I can find within my budget are Peugeot(2006-2011), Vauxhall Astra and Corsa(2005-2010), Ford Fiesta (2005-2011) and Ford KA (2005-2010) I am not really bothered about speed and aesthetics, all I care about is it being able to handle long journeys without problems that generally come up with cheap cars like Citroen.

  Hi, I have a 2010 Peugeot 308 SW and for the past few months have noticed a strange squeaking noise after I drive for a while, when it's going over little bumps in the road or even when stopping and closing the rear doors or the boot.
• Peugeot 206 - Bleeding air out of the system (car is overheating 6 Apr 2019 (Forum)
  A mechanic gave me advice on what to do, open the bleed screws and let air and water drain, but I've forgotten specifically what he said. Where can I find the bleed screws on a 2005 Peugeot 206(1.4 L Petrol) and what should I expect to see when I open them?  I've googled this, but all of the methods of getting air out of the system seem to vary so much. Thanks in advance for any help

  Hi I have a Peugeot 3008 2011 1.6 HDI SPORT I have had a problem with the air bag light coming on and off sometimes could drive for 30 minutes and it comes on or it could be when the heaters are on full. I have changed my car battery has the old one was very low on voltage and thought this was the problem I have had the error read and it comes up with Level 1 driver airbag fault high stop distance ?

  I found the lights were not available in the high street and not many stockists online either so hope that will be helpful for others. I had an issue in the Peugeot manual that came with the car. In that it has conflicting advice regarding the fuse F4 for the daylight running bulb. It advises a 10amp however the diagram and indeed in the car it has pictured a 20amp.

  Hello, I recently bought a 64 reg Peugeot 208 with the 3 cylinder 1.2 petrol engine, relatively low mileage @ around 23k as we speak, I recently had an alarm sound on the dashboard indicating an emissions fault, so took it to the dealer fpr diagnostic check which apparently told them it needed a new engine mounting fitted, and mine wasn't the first one with this problem, just how that works I have no earthly idea.

  After half an hour of driving the light and message disappeared and hasn't come on since. A diagnostic check at a Peugeot dealer cleared the fault code but only pointed the technician to the fuel system in general, nothing specific. It's done just over 64000 miles. Has anyone else had this problem and had it fixed? Also what would be the best one shot fuel system cleaner/additive for me to try, Redex, Wynns etc?

  i have recently taken my peugeot 307 to a mates garage as the antipollution fault light came up, and the engine has lost all power.he narrowed the problem down to the turbo solenoid valve. i have recently had the diesel particulate filter replaced and also had more additive put in so i no it cant be that.my dads a mechanic so im going to get him to try and sort it.could you tell me where a can find the solenoid valve on the engine and whats the best thing to do first before buying a replacement?

  It looks to me that if you hold the car key down while the car is already started, it can turn the car back to STOP (even together with some lauder noises). Is that true or it's just my misconception? Any help please? (it's a 52 reg peugeot)

  At the moment they have found that the inside of the Cat & Dpf have had there insides ripped out and they have traced the Management warning light as been ripped out,and two of the sensors could be iffy,at this moment in time it is still on diagnostic machine but the mechanics have told me there is a possibility it could be the ecu,does any one know of a guy who as a Peugeot Planet diagnostic machine Sandra

  I just bought a Peugeot 206 from a trader, I did test drive it and was wondering if what the trader (a garage) was saying was true. The problem is only with 3rd gear, it crunches unless you double de-clutch. I mentioned this to the trader and they assured me that in all their years of trading and experience of cars, the issue is with the clutch.

  Hi all, I have two Peugeots, 308 and 307. 307's battery is drained due to forgotten headlight. So I am aiming to run it by jump starting from 308. However, the problem is, the negative terminal of the 308's battery is not reachable.

  dads got a peugeot 306 estate diesel (2002) non turbo with an intermittent fault thats getting worse.  car starts fine and runs fine most of the time and has always felt gutles. now and again it feels like it missfires for a split second whilst driveing.

  But not a Pug, I am sick of the orange particle filter lights coming on, 500€uros, and the diesel additive running out, another 400€uros. Peugeot dealers are driving Mercedes here in France! Thanks in advance for any advice.

  Looking through the car's paperwork I see in 2008 it had the same problem. The additive pump, egr solenoid and fuel cap sensor was replaced at a Peugeot dealer and according to the receipt this cleared the fault.  Maybe the same needs doing? The car drives normal, loads of power, and the RPM's are not limited.

  I bought a Peugeot 307 HDi 2.0l a few months ago. Due to test driving in the snow we didnt notice that the car was down on power (wont make that mistake again!) Anyway I invested in a diagnostic and replaced the MAF and cleaned the DPF filter.

  Me again. Problem with the Peugeot again. Grrr! The car starts fine from cold, but in the last couple of days, it has started to stall as soon as I come to a stop (for example at traffic lights or a junction). The revs just die - even though the clutch is disengaged.

  Hi, this is my first post here and wondering if anyone could help me. I am pretty dumb when it comes to cars. I have a Peugeot 106 XL (petrol) 1996 which has been in my garage unused for about 3 weeks and had a flat battery. I put it on charge overnight and when I went to start it today, it will not start at all. The lights all work fine though which they weren't when the battery was flat.

  I have just taken it for a quick drive now and as soon as i pulled away the light came on again and it was losing power intermitently. Please help as i dont have the money to take it to Peugeot for a computer check!! Adam
