Excellent Motorway Cruiser

This is a very good car that is seriously under rated. It is great for long motorway journeys and B road driving. It handles very well but I don't push it too hard as it's not a sports car.The clutch is light and gear change is smooth and the pedal positioning is just right. The steering is just right. Not too light or vague. The seats are very comfortable and the cabin is well built and laid out with a sunglasses holder, bottle holders in the doors and cup holders in the centre in front of the armrest. There's a space for your phone to sit where the USB and charge points are and this has a lid if you're not using it. The glovebox is massive and can be used as a fridge to keep drinks and snacks cool when the air con is in use which I always keep on permanently. The back seats have plenty of space with a flat floor and the boot size is more than adequate for my needs. The diesel engine in this car is a cracking unit (BMW SUPPLIED) and the car has excellent torque and feels quicker than what it says on paper. Having covered 9000 miles now and using Millers Diesel Power Ecomax fuel additive the car is returning well over 62MPG and I usually end up getting 65.7MPG overall with careful driving but not slow because of the excellent torque. When the car was brand new it was returning 56MPG which has greatly improved as the mileage has improved. My only gripes about the car is the touchscreen system like in all Toyota models is awkward to use on the move but you can change radio stations via steering wheel controls and there is a bit of wind noise from the mirrors at motorway speeds. Icon spec has everything you need and the car like mine looks great in white.
