auris 1.6 t spirit mmt

mmt ? cruise comes on without touching in twice in one day not sure about this asfety issue

bought 2 weeks ago from main Toyota dealer, two days later after only traveling 25 miles .went to over take at 40 mph, accelerator went straight to the floor on its own and cruise light came on , had to keep braking to stop accelerating until i could pull into a safe place , tried the normal procedures to stop engine it would not switch off. finally on dabbing the pedal which came back to normal , i was then able to turn off engine and cruise light .what a panic .
blow me down it did exactly the same thing in a built up area some hours later.
i then drove straight to the main dealer from where purchased. who did all the test could not find fault even after a test drive e with me driving.it was not the mat slipping which was one of their suggestions???
i the made contact with the previous owner who said he had experienced the same problem 12 months ago.
i have also now found out from the garage that it had twice been in and had new clutch assembly etc in Feb of this year. the car had only covered 29000 miles ??
tookk the car back to the dealer Friday they are now carrying out more test?? not even sure if i feel safe driving now.
HAS ANYONE HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM , NEED ANSWER QUICKLY AS I AM BACK AT THE DEALER TUES
