1.4 TSI 150ps SE 5SEAT DSG 5dr SUV

Smart, practical and easy driving.

This is my first brand new car with some optional extras including metallic paint, front sensors (an absolute must), folding wing mirrors (handy) and LED interior lighting (a bit of fun for night time driving but the extra controllable lighting in the foot well is useful).

I have covered 7,000 trouble free miles (averaging 33 to 38mpg around town and 42 to 45mpg on longer runs - all without first oil change).

Below my thoughts so far:

- Comfortable seats (cloth) and driving position - steering can be weighted to suit if you prefer more 'old school' turning but standard 'light' setting makes driving effortless.
- Any lengthy journey does not tire you out. Higher riding position makes getting in or out of the car much easier for elderly or less physically able passengers.
-Plenty of room for 4 tall passengers (Family are 6' with some 6' 3"). I didn't need the optional extra seats but would say that if 3 people are in the back it does become slightly tighter for shoulder room, arguably no different than any other vehicle.
- Great turning circle for its size (even in multi story car parks) whilst being composed on country lanes (Devon / Dorset based), motorways or inner city roads (for example back streets of London).
- Well laid out and intuitive controls - I use the digital display for speed as standard dials can be hard to read quickly depending on light levels.
- DSG responds well - its no fire brand when fully laden but quick enough - the 150bhp power plant for a vehicle of this size does respond well when pushed (even with 5 occupants and a boot full). Motorway cruising is easy.
- Can get anything into the boot that you would ever realistically need.
- Smart styling and a car that you just get in and go.

Every person that has been driven in my Kodiaq are always pleasantly surprised at the same things: How much space is on offers, how quiet the cabin is, all-round visibility and comfort of any journey.

For me I am personally delighted and know that it will be a reliable option going into the future.
