I was a fool to buy this car. It was advertised as a TS but it is only an S.
The main thing missing for me is the cruise control.
The engine is good and pulls well. Economy is better on later models, I get approx 42 mpg.
Best feature is the size of the boot.
I have taken it to Germany several times and it will hold 100 mph on the autobahn with no trouble. It still has some speed in reserve but that is enough for me.
I had a brake caliper fail in Germany which was very expensive and at the next service the other one had to be changed. (I think this is just a problem with my car and not a reflection on Mazda build quality.
I bought it with 72,000 on the clock It has now done 119,000. It uses no oil and does not smoke.
Most service items can be had as pattern partys but genuine OE bits are expencive.
