Avoid!

I bought the Mazda 6 2.2d TS2 as it was a large family estate car within my price range, it had a good spec too. However the car has got to 68k miles and has engine failure to an oil problem, I am awaiting the car to be repaired.

The goods -
- Economical engine, I was getting around 50mpg mostly doing long motorway trips.
- It had good power delivery
- Spacious. Lots of rear leg room and room in boot.
- Looks good
- Good spec

The bads-
- Poor interior build. Some of the interior feels cheap and bits falling off, often have to get out the super glue. Some interior trim panels don't quite line up.
- Fiddly steering wheel controls for radio and checking MPG.
- 2.2d engine is a ticking time bomb.

It's a shame as this should have been a great car but is let down by severe engine faults. I read warnings about this car before I purchased it but though I was avoiding the issues by going for a low milleague one, I was wrong.
