Great car to drive when its problem free!

When my car was up for replacement, it was when the latest version of the Mazda 6 was launched.
Id never owned a Mazda before and thought it looked good so decision made.
The joy only lasted a few weeks before the problems started. Ive now covered over 75,000 miles and have lost count of the number of times it has been back to Mazda when the engine management light and DPF filter light have lit up (at least 8 or 10 times).
On one occasion the DPF filter light started flashing and the car was towed (as per advice in the manual) to the local Mazda dealership at considerable inconvenience, only to be told the car only required a service. The local dealership seems totally uninterested and at times are difficult to deal with.
There are some positives though. It drives and handles very well, although it is not as economical as hoped (46mpg maximum on long steady run). Also very good in the snow. Some of the cabin materials are not great.
My car is soon to be replaced. I will not be getting another Mazda 6.
