better than expected

When looking for a replacement of a10 yr old focus mk1 owned from new that was utterly reliable I dissmissed the 1.0 focus as I was not convinced that it worked
Tested i30 and civic which wereboth ok but my wife said she liked the look of the focus and could we try it so we did Well I was realy surprised with the performance and it was so smooth and quiet Ibought it there and then A month later we needed to replace my wifes renault although a focus was bigger than she needed we were so impressed with the 1.0 3cly we got a fiesta with the same engine Nearly 12mths on we are both very satisfied with our decission to buy them
Fuel consumption is often critiscised with these engines but you can get good economy if you drive them correctly I get more mpg with the 125hp 1.0 than my old 100bp 1.6
