Excellent Car with Some Minor Irritations

I swapped a Mitsubishi Outlander for this. The 3,0 litre engine is doing about 4mpg more than the manual Outlander (177 version) driven at the speed limit. Ride good on the 17" tyres but having test driven an M on 19" try and stick to the SE if you like your teeth to stay in. Engine and gearbox is perfect and capable of warp speed even in Eco mode, sport mode can be a bit vicious. The interior excellent and I have not really noticed any problems except when you fold down the rear seat the centre seat belt can leave its name in the leather seat :-(.

Now for the minor irritations:
- you can't see the auto stop on/off pushbutton as it is hidden behind the indicator stalk - it wouldn't be hard to move, (for BMW)
- changes the auto stop on/off setting if drive mode is changed, it's best off (fear of big pile of dead starter motors!),
- central locking a pain as it only opens the drivers door on first press of the key fob, and boot needs it's own press, grrrrr,
- no dashboard lights in daylight without headlights on so on darker roads the dials harder to see (this might be a fault),
- centre console could have easily been designed to take more CDs,
