  • Ford Mondeo - Expected battery drain when standing? 26 Jan 2014 (Forum)
not used to car with lots of gadgets, but I assume that it should still be expected to stand for at least a fortnight and still start. • Ford Fiesta 1.6 TDCI or Citroen C3 1.4 VTR+ - Which Car To Drive To Spain In????? 31 Aug 2012 (Forum)
I know that the fiesta is better on fuel but theres other things to consider....... The fiesta is the Zetec S and sometimes the seats can be a little uncomfortable,   Also the Citroen is brand new so has a 3 year warrenty where as the fiesta does not (might be extreamly useful if we break down! The Citroen is more spacious as well, although to me it feels like a sloppy boat to drive as im used to the harder suspension of the fiesta.
  • Ford Fiesta 1388 zetec year 2000,"x"reg - Correct rear brake hoses? 21 Sep 2010 (Forum)
Another accessory shop after giving reg no again, said the hoses they had listed for this model were female both ends(but that`s for 2001 onwards I reckon). Two reasonable sized outlets in Lincs and no luck! Anyone any idea where I can get some reputable make hoses ,355mm total length, male one end,male/chamfered female  the other end.At chassis the hex head seats in bottom part of bracket while top of hose pops through upper part of bracket where cutaway is secured by "u" clip.
  • Ford Fiesta (2000 - 2002) - 01 1.25 engine flooding when attempted start, rece 3 Nov 2009 (Forum)
Got a small issue with a 1250 zetec engine, Ive just replaced it into a 2001 fiesta so its the later of the 1.25's. The old engine had spun a shell but still run OK. The new engine did have 2 bent valves where it had been turned by hand with no bottom pulley on so I replaced the head with the one off the old engine.
  • Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - Time for a change - but how to get a good deal? 17 Sep 2008 (Forum)
It's a 2005 05 Ghia X with 37k miles, FSH and factory optional 18" alloys, Sony 6cd (in dash) and xenon (HID) lights. It;'s the 2.2 diesel so it has pretty good performance and economy and low road tax. Most trade guides put it around £7k as a trade in. I took it back the car supermarket I bought it from and was offered £5.5k - this is quite a loss on a car I paid them £12.5 for 2 years ago, although not as bad as the fact the list price was around £22 k then.

  • Ford Fiesta rear shocks 29 Mar 2004 (Forum)
Good evening my learned friends, Whilst doing a brake shoe change on my Mk 4/5 Fiesta (facelifted), i noticed that the o/s rear shock needed replacing due to oil weeping on the side of it. Replacement looks fairly easy, i have a slight problem regarding the set up of the new shocks. Whilst torqueing the wheel nuts up i noticed a clonk from the shock assembly, at this time the car was still off the ground safely on stands, so the suspension had dropped down with no vehicle weight to compress it.
