Ford Mondeo IV (2007 - ) - Poor Fuel Economy of 2.0 TDCi with DPF 4 Oct 2009 (Forum)
I have just bought a new 2.0 TDCi Titanium X Estate fitted with a DPF, which will not achieve more than upper 30's mpg. The DPF has had an effect on fuel economy, so if you want a Mondeo IV diesel to get more MPG, at the moment it is best to go for the 1.8 TDCi which does not have the DPF as standard. -
Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - 02 2.5 Dashboard bulbs? Low Petrol warning light 26 Feb 2009 (Forum)
Hi there, I think the bulb has gone for the low petrol warning - any advice on how to change the bulb? It's a Mondeo Zetec S 2.5 V6 51 plate/02 manufacture if that helps. I've tried taking the bottom of the dash off to gain access but don't seem to be able to find a way to remove the actual dash or reach up to the back of the cluster to change a bulb. -

Ford Transit 125T330 door noise 24 May 2005 (Forum)
Have tried lubing window guides and spraying WD40 on possible culprits but no joy. Have altered setting on door striker plate-no significant difference. Window works fine. N/s door doesn't make the noise. Anyone got any ideas?! Thanks. -
Ford Fiesta 1.25 LX - Rear Wiper 29 Nov 2004 (Forum)
Hi. My wife has a problem with the wear wiper on her S reg Fiesta. When the wiper is put to the on position, the arm moves as normal but the wiper continues past its normal stopping position and dangles down by the number plate. So, the motor seems to be working OK so what should stop the wipe arm from 'drooping'? -
Accident 23 Apr 2002 (Forum)
I had an accident with my new Ford Fiesta Zetec S which I accidentally banged into a sheep (yes it was killed, instantly I might add). The car has been repaired by the Ford garage which took it away. When it came back, it had a different make tyre, the bonnet wasn't straight and there is silver paint on the inside of the door to let other people know that it's had an accident instantly. -
Where have all the good cars gone? 23 Aug 2019 (Forum)
Now it’s just white goods, bought and run without a care to selling on again. I’ve a good friend with a Ford C-Max on PCP. The car has never seen the inside of a Ford workshop since and has solely and very infrequently been maintained by a local fast fit chain. Several pieces of body damage have been very cheaply repaired too, the latest being a repaint of the N/S rear quarter and bumper which cost £90!!! -

Best car for dog! 30 Aug 2015 (Forum)
I don't want a huge car and I have a Fiat Punto at the moment. I have looked at a Kia Venga, Hyundai ix20, Ford B-max, Vauxhall Mokka and a Peugeot 2008. The only thing I can really think might be suitable is maybe a Renault Kangoo? Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance :) -
Are DMFs in petrol cars just as unreliable? 12 Apr 2010 (Forum)
Once again I'm thinking about changing my car. I've spotted a manual C-Max 2.0 petrol with just under 50k on the clock which I rather like, but from what I've read on HJ's car-by-car breakdown, these engines are fitted with a DMF. Does anybody know if these petrol engines more or less reliable than the diesels with a DMF fitted (not just the Ford diesels)? -
What's in a name? 21 Nov 2009 (Forum)
Now I know it's early in the morning, but when I tried to put my brain into gear I couldn't, offhand, think of many another makes that have or had their names abused in this way. Sure, the Model T Ford was called the Tin Lizzy or the Flivver, but that was a model, not a marque. I could only think of the Subaru 'Scooby' and the Peugeot 'Pug'. I know I don't read Max Power and the like, but what others are there? -
lowest band MPV that will take 3 car seats 14 Mar 2008 (Forum)
I like the idea of a TD estate type car, but I'm not sure that 3 seats will fit across the back. The DFT website shows the ford focus C-max as being the best MPV at 124g/km http://www.dft.gov.uk/ActOnCO2/index.php?q=best_on_co2_rankings 2 questions: 1 - can anyone suggest anything better? 2 - does anyone know if it will take three child seats in the back?
