Nissan Note - Breakdown cover for older car 6 Mar 2025 (Forum)
Our Nissan Note is now 15 years old and the breakdown cover provider we currently use (Eversure) does not provide cover for cars older than this. I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a company that would cover a car of this age? We do have another car which is just 5 years old so a policy which covers both cars would be ideal or maybe one providing personal cover. -
TomTom breakdown cover 26 Dec 2008 (Forum)
TomTom are giving breakdown cover with the XL Assist package - As my insurance is due in Jan and I have breakdown cover on two cars - SWMBO has just replaced Yaris and new car comes with 3yr AA cover so now I only need cover for one car - Has anyone bought the XL with cover and if so does it include recovery or is it just assist - I have trawled net all day looking for details of this cover but nothing has come up. -

Legal to park a covered car on a road ? 30 Jun 2007 (Forum)
As the car has no engine in it, is it still a car (as technically it has no means of propulsion) it also will be kept covered - so can the police have the power to lift the cover the cover ? I have heard that a traffic warden can't or is this an urban myth. -
Older car breakdown cover for Europe trip sought 14 Apr 2025 (Forum)
Just wondering if anyone can recommend breakdown cover for my 2008 Ford C-Max for holiday in Belgium? I've seen ETA Insurance cover older cars, but have no idea of their reputation. amny breakdown companies don't seem to cover cars over 15 years old. -
A Saab - Loan car insurance cover 8 Jul 2015 (Forum)
The loan car from the garage (mine's in for a modification, not a repair) is loaned on the understanding that third party damage/costs are covered by the "driving other cars" cover on my car's insurance. However its on a "cherished car" policy (Highway, through Carole Nash) and such cover isn't included unless it goes with an approved repair at an approved garage. -
Honda Civic UK (2001 - 2005) - Any car insurance cover 31 Mar 2008 (Forum)
I'm thinking about doing a bit of car trading from home and would like to know if there's anything like "any car insurance cover" where I'll be covered any car I'm driving....and it could be up to a certain insurance group. I'll be buying only small/medium cars! -
Breakdown Cover, which company is best? 19 May 2008 (Forum)
Having been covered by the AA, RAC and Green Flag over the years we currently have no cover apart from my car as it is a company car. What we want is cover that will take us and the car HOME if it cant be fixed. Cover would be for my wife (not in case she breaks down!) -
car cover 23 Sep 2002 (Forum)
I want a car cover for a car in the garage. Nothing too flash; main purpose is to keep the dust off whilst we have a bit of building work done - but I may also buy a sports car in the next 12 months so a cover would be useful for that in the garage too. -

What three wheelers does a car licence cover? 6 Aug 2009 (Forum)
Apologies if this has been covered before but I am trying to clarify what three wheelers are covered by a full car licence. Obviously three wheeled cars like the Reliant, Messerschmidt, etc. are. I recall that when I was younger these could also be driven on a full motorcycle licence. -
Breakdown Cover 3 Apr 2005 (Forum)
Just wondered how many people have breakdown cover for their car. Mine is due now and after years of paying for cover on various cars and never using it, I am thinking of dropping it, of course it will be sods law to break down after I do this. -

Insurance - Cover Driving another car 26 Sep 2005 (Forum)
Now the interesting thing is that nowhere can I see anything that states any damage I do to the other car I am driving is not covered i.e. Third party cover only. In fact "the damage you cause to another person's property" clause appears to comprehensively cover any car I am driving. On the face of it if someone had an uninsured Lamborghini I could drive it with full comprehensive cover on my insurance for a group 1 Fiesta. -
Insurer won't cover courtesy car 17 Apr 2006 (Forum)
My insurers refused to cover a Citroen C3 courtesy car while my car is being serviced because the courtesy car is expensive!! They won't cover a courtesy car that is more valuable then your own car! Well then, my just over 3 year old C5 is then worthless and I can't be trusted with a nearly new supermini!. -

Just received the Renewal Notice from a well known Insurance Co for Breakdown cover on 2 cars (Recovery plus inc Homestart) - Incl 3 years No Call Out Discount of 15% = £115.50 premium. I have been with them for 20+ years - always with 1 car as often the newer car was covered under New Car Warranty - I have only broken down once in all that time. -
