Any car insurance cover - LinuxGeek
I'm thinking about doing a bit of car trading from home and would like to know if there's anything like "any car insurance cover" where I'll be covered any car I'm driving....and it could be up to a certain insurance group. I'll be buying only small/medium cars! If there's such a cover do we know how exepnsive it is and if you know a particular insurance company that does offer such a cover please let me know. There are some Insurance Companies that will insure a number of defined vehicles to an owner.

what it appears you are after is a 'Traders Policy' which I understand is not exactkly cheap for obvious reasons.

My book you need to speak to a Broker and point out your requirements.

There are often a few ads in "car mechanics" magazine for traders insurance - I hear it's not always vastly expensive, but the excess's can be high.

All "normal Ins Certs" say excludes use for racing, pacemaking and anything to do with the motor trade - so you will need a Motor Trader's Policy - which will not be cheap and normally has a high excess - £1000 or more
