I have used covers for several years on caravans. The breathable heavy weight ones are brilliant. If I polish the caravan & put it away in september, when I uncover in the spring its still shinning. I do use a moisture absorber and would recommend putting one in the car & I also use a dehumidifier in the van for 3 days before storage to make sure its really dry.
I have not had any problems with sweating and the van always appears slightly warmer inside when the cover is on. If you have bulbus plastic head lamps you may need to be aware the cover may mark them. The caravn windows are acrylic and over the winter with the cover flapping in the wind they do gain some marks although they polish out with acrylic polish.
I parked a car up for 5 months with a cover once as it was for summer use and was horrified to see the seatbelts had gone moldy ! so do make sure its very dry and clean.
