  I just had a cold call from AA warranties tonight and for the first time ever, have actually bought one. The gist of the policy is that it covers everything except:- Brakes Tyres Windscreen Exhaust All of the electrics, engine components and other greasy bits are covered. The cost is £21 per month over 24 months for 2 years cover at 0% APR.

  Hi, I'm about to try selling my car privately, and I'm confused about the advice I've read about insurance when a potential buyer's taking my car for a test drive. As long as the buyer's got comprehensive cover on his car, they ought to have 3rd party cover to drive my car, so if he runs someone over he's covered.

  I have a Varta B18 "Blue Dynamic" calcium/silver battery on my car. Given the recent hot weather, I am concerned as to the fluid level in the cells but seem unable to remove the cover to check.   The alloys on my car each have a cover over the central hub held in place with a locking screw. When I removed one after a puncture it was covered in sort of crusty white residue. The brake fluid level seems ok. It only seems to be on one wheel - which now seems to be corroding.
