  • AA Warranty - Worth it? 17 Jul 2007 (Forum)
I just had a cold call from AA warranties tonight and for the first time ever, have actually bought one. The gist of the policy is that it covers everything except:- Brakes Tyres Windscreen Exhaust All of the electrics, engine components and other greasy bits are covered. The cost is £21 per month over 24 months for 2 years cover at 0% APR.

That time of year again - Breakdown Cover - Covered by a Large Insurance Co you get directly to and their premium for 2 cars was £120 (in round figures) including No call out discount for 8 years = 15%. so base premium is £143 Got a quote from the same company (flying a different Flag) @ £92.40 in a 25% New Policy Discount =£124 Gross- so the red telephone is more expensive than the Green Flag by £19.

  • M.G. ZT-T Warranty 3 Feb 2006 (Forum)
One of my fleet vehicles has gone into the supplying dealer for a service today. The dealer says that the cooling fan and hose need replacing at a cost of £540.00.The car was registered on 18/02/2005 and so I questioned as to whether it should be covered, by the dealer, under a 12 month warranty. The dealer has stated that they only cover the car for 3 months and subsiquent warranty would have been with M.G Rover.Does this seem correct?

  • Insurance for test drives 31 Oct 2004 (Forum)
Hi, I'm about to try selling my car privately, and I'm confused about the advice I've read about insurance when a potential buyer's taking my car for a test drive. As long as the buyer's got comprehensive cover on his car, they ought to have 3rd party cover to drive my car, so if he runs someone over he's covered.

  • Alloy wheel problem? 2 Jun 2002 (Forum)
The alloys on my car each have a cover over the central hub held in place with a locking screw. When I removed one after a puncture it was covered in sort of crusty white residue. The brake fluid level seems ok. It only seems to be on one wheel - which now seems to be corroding.
