  Sorry folks if this in the wrong section, may get more views/responses here. Currently own an Audi A4, few problems with it, just wondering what the causes could be: Firstly, the car is idling too quickly, the rev meter is moving very slightly up and down and sitting in the car the car is giving a slight shake with the gearstick moving slightly aswell, doesnt happen all the time but noticable when your sitting at traffic lights etc.

  All I have an R-Reg Audi A3 1.8T. When reversing out of my garage I hear a loud bang quite regularly. The garage has a steep slope leading down to the road, and the noise occurs just as the rear wheels go onto the down slope.

  Hi My father has an E-reg Audi 80 with a blowing exhaust. He took it to an exhaust place and they told him he needed a new system including catalytic converter. My father told him the car didn't have a cat and that he must have been looking at the wrong model.

  I am not sure if I have a problem with the MAf sensor on my 1996 Audi A4 1.9tdi (110) but perhaps the BR experts could tell. Driving down the M3 and felt something go a bit strange under the bonnet - can\'t recall what it was but I know it just felt a bit wierd. After that there was very very minimal acceleration in 4th and 5th gears, diminished in 3rd but seemingly OK in 1st and 2nd.

  It's now a month and a half and the oil light came on again last night. Is this really normal for Audi's to do this? I mean we are in the 21st century. I have had cars in the past where I never topped up the oil, never had to. Is it because it's new? Any advice would be grateful. The dealer did give me some top up oil on my last oil visit but surely I don't have to keep topping the damn thing up every 5 minutes.

  Hi, I recently bought an Audi 80 Sport (2.0 16v) whichshortly afterwards developed an oil leak. My local garage decided that I should have the engine jet washed to locate exactly where the oil was coming from - big mistake!!! Ever since then when the car starts up in the morining and the choke is on it is fime, however, if after it has heated up and you swithch the engine off and restart it the engine misfire and splutters abusively for a couple of minutes before it settles down.

  My 1986 Audi 80 1.6 petrol (Pierburg 2E2 carburettor with automatic choke)is running well when the engine is under load (i.e. it goes well when you have your foot on the accelerator), and runs well when it is cold (the automatic choke keeps the revs high).
