  I left the lights on in my Peugeot 306 and drained the battery. I jump started it and it drove perfectly normally. However, once I parked it I could not restart it. There is power but when the key is turned there is not a sound as if the battery were dead.

  Dealer wants to charge him £100 just to inspect the damage but before he takes it in I was wondering if this model has a dual mass flywheel which could cost him £1,000+ to repair? I also noticed through Google that there may be a known problem with Peugeot clutch assemblies?

  Hi there my wife's son had an accident (fortunately uninjured) which led to the recovery services being called by the Police as the car was upside down on the road & needed to be recovered urgently.OK so far.If he wants the car back he has been quoted @£360 for the recovery & £20 per day storage plus the sc*** value of the car (a Peugeot 306 TD) from Norwich Recovery.We asked around for recovery prices from other local recovery firms & their recovery costs seem to substantially lower.Can I do anything about it?Or is it just a cosy stitch up between Police & certain recovery firms?

  I had an issue or 2 with my Peugeot and it went back to the garage I bought it from, they replaced injector seals, glow plugs, glow plug relays, brether unit and also topped up the diesel additive. Since getting the car back I seem to lose power going uphill, seems ok on flat or downhill roads.

  I have a Peugeot 206 1.9D which has developed a cold starting issue. The engine cranks ok but take several minutes before it will fire and start. When it does start it seems to run on 2 cylinders until it warms up when it runs ok.

  Just bought a JVC cd player from a very reputable E.Bay seller, and have installed it in my Peugeot 406 along with a new facia panel. However, it won't keep the memories that I have programmed, and strangely when I open the door and the interior light comes on, so does the cd player!!! I would rather it came on with the ignition, as it also doesn't switch itself off when exiting the car.

  hi all, I am thinking of buying a 2001 peugeot 307 2.0 hdi rapier and after researching into the common faults the same fault seems to keep appearing, "unblock diesel filter" and "Anti pollution system fault".......FAP regeneration???? how can you predict this problem occurring when buying a used car, is this problem really that common and how serious is it?

  I took the engine out of citroen zx the same year as 306. I have fitted the fuel pump from the original peugeot engine because it has two electrical connectors, a blue one and a black one .The pump on the citroen only had the black connection . I think Im having problems with immobiliser - the starter motor does turn on the key but the pump is not delivering any fuel to the injectors - obviously the stop solinoid not getting live.

  Hi I've encountered an annoying problem with my peugeot. I cant undo the locking wheel nuts on my alloys. The special socket appears to have been damaged the last time I had some new tyres and now won't grip the nuts properly. It has 4 pins inside the socket and 1 seems to be bent and therefore I can't get any purchase on the nuts.

  When starting from cold I have always had a quite loud high pitched whine which disappears quite quickly , say 5mins, after it warms up. It is orse in cold weather. Very worrying. I had everything checked out by Peugeot main dealer when a new cambelt was fitted last year. They could find nothing wrong they say , but by the time they moved the car into the workshop the noise had stopped anyway I guess. Is this peculiar to petrol engine pugs?

  A friend of mine disconnected the motor and tried a lower amp fuse in and, as that didn't blow, concluded that the motor is fine..... there was however smoke coming out of the vents! Does that prove anything?! Anyone here into Peugeot wiring? The 306 is the Meridian which has air con. Thanks in advance

  Which i thought it was an easy thing to fix.After taking to the mechanics some rejected it ,saying it has to reach peugeot company . The news is that all the noise with the pulley has been fixed but it would not rev down mormally and the engine would not go beyond 45rmp when on motion the engine cut back to safe mode itself,while on motion.

  Hi I would like some advice? I recently bought a peugeot 308 hatch, bought new and now it has done just over 20000kms. A fault registered on the LCD screen advising "Depollution System Faulty" and the service centre advised this was due to a temperature sensor that was faulth and needed replacing, they also did a forced re-generation.

  I have Peugeot 306 XSI P-reg 96', for some reason the car seems to cut out when I release the accelerator pedal or when I change gears or approach a junction. I can manage to keep the car on if I keep accelerating, if I leave the car off for about 10 minutes or so she's fine.

  I don't have a lot of knowledge on the subject as I'd never considered autos before, but I suppose the beigeing process eventually gets us all and now I quite fancy one myself. A car I like the look of is the Peugeot 407 SW, and I've seen some advertised as "Tip Autos". What is a Tip Auto and how does it work, specifically in this model? I've done a google but can't come up with anything other than adverts.

  The garage said it was a small air leak, too small to find therefore, too small to fix! However, car continues to cut. Before I take it to Peugeot again and leave it there, does anyone have any thoughts on what/where the problem lies? I've possibly been a bit vague, let me know.

  Help I have a Peugeot 807 and the drivers side electronic rear door will not open electronically. Pressing any of the door opening buttons (key, centre consol and rear door) only opens the door a few inches & if I keep pressing the button it opens a few inches at a time - when it reaches fully open and I press the button to close it - it still tries to open more.

  Hi, My wife has a 1.4 HDi Peugeot 207. I'd like to do an oil change as we bought the car new and plan to keep it a while. Problem is that I had a quick look underneath and can't locate the oil drain plug in the sump. I didn't have time to do a thorough check but I'm beginning to wonder if there's one at all.

  My Peugeot 406 '02 Estate has exhibited a strange thing a couple of times. I've gone to it first thing in the morning and the clutch pedal is on the floor. If i pull it up it works perfectly. Its happended a couple of times now and i suspect it to be a cluch master/slave cylinder leaking.

  Help ! My Peugeot is causing me some problems in that it is losing power, then it seems to surge and pick up again with occasional white smoke whilst moving and produces black smoke when accelerating . I know there are myriad things which can cause this problem, but are there any 'easy' steps I can take to rectify the problem BEFORE I send it a garage.
