Jaguar XK120 racer to headline Coys auction 16 Aug 2017 (News)
The Jaguar, nicknamed ‘Piggy’, will go under the hammer at Coys Thoroughbred And Vintage sale, which is held in the heart of the Sussex Downs, just a few miles up the road from the Goodwood Revival. ‘Piggy’ is one of only 184 left-hand drive alloy-bodied roadsters and was delivered new to Charles Hornburg in Los Angeles, USA. He was the first importer of Jaguar automobiles to the United States and a competition specialist responsible for the sale of some of the very important racing Jaguars in the 1950s, including lightweight XK120s, C-types and D-types. -
Record price set for Peugeot 205 GTI 2 Aug 2017 (News)
The car was first registered to the Peugeot Talbot Motor Company and offered as a prize in association with ‘Grattan’, the catalogue clothing retailer. The car was won by a lady from Ipswich, who was unable to drive. The woman’s husband collected the car on her behalf and kept it garaged and maintained before selling it in 2012. Mercedes-Benz gullwing crashes on the Mille Miglia 19 May 2014 (News)
The accident happened on Sunday morning in Tuscia, Italy and involved the black Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing which was participating in the Mille Miglia endurance race, which is now established as one of the greatest competitive driving events for classic cars that were entered in the original race, held between 1927 and '57. The 300SL is said to have had a frontal collision with the BMW 1-Series, which was on its way to Rome - and the cause of the crash is as yet unknown at the moment. Two ambulances arrived at the scene of the crash and transported both drivers to the hospital - and injuries sustained are said to be not serious. -
Vauxhall cuts price of Ampera 13 Sep 2013 (News)

Subaru reduces WRX STI price 24 Aug 2012 (News)
Subaru’s high performance WRX STI model has been reduced in price ahead of the new 62-plate launch, meaning it is now available from £26,995, a £6000 reduction. That price buys a 2.5-litre 300PS all-wheel drive performance car, but those hankering for more performance can upgrade for £1599. That increases performance to 340PS, by way of altered ECU settings and a tweaked exhaust system. -
