  • Estate car with front and rear legroom 21 Feb 2005 (Forum)
Since children are getting ever taller (daughter about 5'7" with long legs, son on course to be a six footer), we need a car with plenty of front and rear legroom. My husband is 6' tall with long body and shorter legs, whilst I am 5'8" with 34" inside leg measurement. We also sometimes carry my mother, who is 6' tall. To allow my daugher enough legroom we have had to move the front passenger seat forward and this is giving me problems with not enough leg room.

  • Peugeot 307 (2001 - 2007) - 04 1.6 front springs 15 Feb 2010 (Forum)
The front spring has cracked on my car suddenly and I'm at a loss as to how this could happen. 50000 miles on the clock, mortorway and A road driving, a wee bit of to the shops driving too. My list of failures in the last 8 months are: turbo, EGR valve, fuel cap sensor, 2 wheel bearings, full set of pads, rear discs and yet more pads, battery and the fuel stuff toped up.
  • Tyres - safe age? 16 Apr 2003 (Forum)
The spare tyre in the boot of my July 1999 Mondeo is unused. I have not checked but I would imagine the tyre is not much older than the car. The fronts are nearing replacement (again). The car covers about 25k miles a year, so the front tyres last about a year. To help cash flow I am considering using the spare and only buying one (matching) replacement front tyre.
