  Earlier today my wipers suddenly stopped - I was near an Audi Dealership so took it there for a fix. After a 2 hour wait and an invoice for £66 (half an hours labout apparently) I was told that they think it is the wiper motor, but the disclaimer was that they would need to remove it to be sure.

  I do circa 30,000 miles pa so comfort is important. Any views on the sports suspension that comes on S-Line Audis is most welcome. A previous (2004) Audi was returned as it was just too uncomfortable but I've been told that Audis have softened since then. Opinions on if the A5 Sportback is large enough/comfortable enough by those that either own or have driven one is particularly welcome.

  Hi BR's After 3 relatively trouble free years with my L reg Audi 80, an unfortunate terminal subframe cracking and rusting which will cost nearly £500 pound to fix will render my car only fit for the scrapper. Shame really as bodywork wise and mechanical it is fine.

  2003 2.5tdi {this information added to subject header, as per the requests you missed!} 65000 miles before going on holiday to ireland got car serviced at local audi dealer. Under warranty they changed waterpump and I agreed to timing /cam belt change. Car began cutting out at low revs on the way to holyhead ferry. I called the dealer who thought it might be fuel contamination.

  I have a 2003 (53 plate) Audi 1.9 TDI (100bhp) which has done 32,000 miles. All was well until about 2 months ago, when it suddenly cut out when travelling at approx. 30 mph. It was worrying because not only did I lose engine power, but I also lost the power steering along with the electrics.

  I'm not sure if there is much experience of the VW/AUDI 2.5 V6 TDI (150bhp) engine amongst members, but can anyone give me some suggestions for the following cold starting issue: I have a 1998 Audi A6 Avant 2.5 TDI with nearly 170,000 miles. Since buying the car with 137,000 miles, it has never been particularly good at starting from cold.
