    A ‘timewarp’ 1967 Mini 850 deluxe is going under the hammer. The single-owner car has covered 36,000 miles but has been in storage since 1983. It is for sale at H&H Classics on 18 July. Totally original, the car has never undergone any welding and its interior is like new.

    Aston Martin Heritage dealer Nicholas Mee is now selling a fully functional petrol-powered mini Aston Martin model, suitable for anyone aged 10 and up – it’ll even fit an adult. Priced from £16,5000, the shrunken replica of a 1960s DB, which is two-and-a-half metres long, is powered by a 110cc petrol engine linked to a three-speed semi-automatic transmission.  It’s not just a toy – top speed is 46mph and everything works, from the headlights and indicators to the electric starter and the horn.

  • BMW 'scrappage scheme' to offer £2000 for older diesels 7 Aug 2017 (News)
    Owners of older diesel BMWs will be offered £2000 off a new BMW or MINI as part of a 'scrappage scheme'.   The manufacturer offer applies to older diesel BMW or MINI models that meet Euro 4 standards or less, almost all pre-2005 vehicles. The replacement must be a  BMW i3 , a plug-in hybrid or a Euro 6 vehicle with CO2 emissions of up to 130g/km. The scheme will initially run until 31 December 2017.

  • BMW Group seeks 30 UK apprentices 28 Jan 2016 (News)
    BMW Group is looking for 30 apprentices to join teams at three sites around the UK – the MINI Plant in Oxford, the Hams Hall Plant near Birmingham, where engines for MINI and BMW cars are produced and the Swindon Plant, where sub-assemblies and stampings for MINI models are made. Candidates will work alongside experienced BMW employees across a range of roles, including engineering, maintenance, IT, finance and logistics. The 30 new arrivals will join 224 existing apprentices and will gain an NVQ level three qualification over a period of three to four years.
  • Rare 1961 Oselli Mini 'Barn Find' Headlines Classic Car Auction 10 Aug 2012 (News)
    An extremely rare 1961 Mini, modified by Oselli to 1,125cc, goes under the hammer in Barons British Heritage auction at Sandown Park on 18th September. This particular car is one of the famous performance tuning specialist’s first conversions, but was taken off the road in the early 1980s, then sat gathered dust in a garage for the past 31 years.
