Do any of you lease your car? 9 May 2004 (Forum)
Hi all, After a long struggle with an unreliable passat, I have now decided to lease a car to help reduce unexpected bills. I need a 30,000 miles a year lease over two years so that I am covered by the manufacturers warranty. I have looked at several lease companies and understand the format for leasing a car, but was hoping I could get some real life leasing experiences from the back room. -

My son lease-purchased the above vehicle new on July 10th 2014. Over the next 3 years the car was perfectly maintained and serviced according to the Ford service book recommendations. On June 28th 2017, 13 days prior to the warranty expiration date of July 11th, the car broke down in Swindon and it was transported to our home in Hindhead by the AA. -

How can I as a consumer know about this ? -

mercedes full marks 6 May 2007 (Forum)
I posted a while ago about a small rust problem around the rear wheel arches on on my '2000 C220. Well Mercedes have returned the car with a top class job done on the problem having given me a car to use while mine was away and all done under warranty. It is refreshing in this day and age for companies to give such service. Only downside is I have no excuse to offer SWMBO as to why I need to go out and buy an SLK............ -

MG HS 1.5 Turbo Petrol - Wrong engine oil used during service. 15 Jan 2025 (Forum)
I apologise in advance as this may seem a very simple question to most. I've just had my 2 year old MG HS car serviced at an MG dealership and on looking at the garage's invoice notice that the engine oil they used is 5/30W. The handbook states that the oil should have been 0W/20. I was surprised that an oil of a different specification was used by a main dealer and am concerned that it may adversely affect the car. -
Advice on reliable car for under 8k 21 Aug 2012 (Forum)
My last requirement is that I use the car for surfing and wouldn’t really like to go any smaller than the 306. My budget can be up to £8k. I am currently looking at manufacturer used approved diesels because I like the idea of a warranty if I am going to part with that much cash.
