• Ford Focus II (2004 - 2007) - 07 1.6 Clock keeps losing time 6 May 2012 (Forum)
  I can only assume the electronics for the clock is not contained within the radio unit? i.e. that the radio is only the display. There's no option to sync the time with RDS (unlike the older versions of the same radio). Any ideas?

  I know that to remove the RD4 you undo the two torex screws but what I would like to know is when the radio is pulled out how tight are the connecting leads in other words is there a bit of play and how much room is behind the radio. I want to fit a Connects2 CTAPGUSB001 USB Adapter which is designed for my model of car but the box which is 5 3/4 inches long and 2 3/4 inches wide would need a bit of room.

  hi ya, just wondering if anyone could give me any advice regarding my car radio. we've has problems with the battery during the cold weather and have had to be jumped quite a few times but after the last time my radio would not come on we have the code but not sure how to put it in as we can not seem to get the message asking us to enter the code i think there should be a little red light in the code button but there isnt so we have brought some fuses but still cant seem to get it to come on. any advice would be grately appricated

   I want neither of these extras. So for me to get a DAB radio on a new 5 series it is going to cost me a whopping £3205!! If I want DAB on a Ford Mondeo it would cost me £50. Does BMW hold the record for the most expensive DAB radio option?

  Just trying to help out a neighbour whose Son disconnected the battery without realising the code entry issue on the radio. BUT, upon pressing the AS key whilst switching the radio on, it does indeed come up with the display showing the four dashes, for the code input  _ _ _ _ HOWEVER, as soon as I release the AS key to input the code, the _ _ _ _'s disappear and the word PANEL comes up in the display.

  Fiddling with the audio controls on the radio, I found an option to adjust the "input volume" for the aux input. I fancy plumbing in my mp3 player, but have no idea where this socket is-if it is a socket ! The unit is a blaupunkt radio cd (sorry there are no model numbers).

  When switching on the radio on the morning it works fine, but as soon as the steering wheel is moved the radio changes station flicking through all the progammed in stations and some that are not, you never get to the end of a sentence before it moves on, this will go on for about 15 to 18 miles before settling down.

  Has anybody seen the same fault as observed on my Philips CCR600 radio as fitted to my Vectra. When I turn on the ignition switch the radio comes on at whichever channel I was listening to when I last drove. I then turn the key to crank the engine and the radio goes back to 87.5MHz.

  Got me thinking - what's the most distant TA your radio has announced? I'm sure a radio expert will tell me why this happened but I've never received signals from as far that before.

  Yaris just "played up" on its normal, absolutely standard, regular, no snow or silly weather, traffic free commute home. 1.The radio works until the lights are switched then the sound is killed. 2. With the radio working, pop in a CD and after a few seconds it spits it out again. Hmmmmm ! I just popped out to check I had the facts and Mr Murphy has been around cos it is now working normally.

  Hi, I've got a 98 S reg 1.4 RT Clio with a couple of annoying problems. 1) Remote key doesn't work, I've changed the batteries but still no light on the key!! 2) Radio doesn't work, it lights up, so there is power getting to it but nothing happens when I try and switch it on! 3) The display in the centre of the dash shows nothing, is this connected to the radio?

  I've just bought a second hand radio for my 1996 Megane to replace the dead original, having spent a year looking for the right model - new one is identical. I've hooked it up to the remote controls, and all seems to be working fine, but......none of the controls on the actual radio work except the mechanical ones for the cassette player.

  I have a vw with a radio that does not receive long wave. I am getting serious withdrawal symptoms from the cricket. I have tried using a big portable radio in the car, but the interference is too high and I cannot hear anything except fuzz.
