• Renault Scenic (1999 - 2003) - 01 1.9dci loss of drive 13 Jan 2009 (Forum)
  I tried to pull out of a junction, the engine was running but i had no drive. it was still in gear and they seem to change as normal. I have spoken to a renault dealer and the seem to think its the clutch, another garage thinks it could be a drive shaft? I had no problems up till now with the drive of gears. I have noticed the the O/S tyre has worn would this happen if the drive shaft has been on its way out.

  Hi, I have a 1.0l Renault Clio that is misbehaving. Last week it wouldn't start one morning. It was turning over but just not catching. I managed to bump start it down a hill. Later on in the day it cut out as I was going round a roundabout and took a while to re-start.

  hi, my older sister with soon to be 4 kids is looking at replacing her '04 renault megane with something suitable. she's found a 3.0 v6 auto grand espace on a y reg with 88k for 3.5k. she's looking at keeping it for 5 years at an average of 12k a year so i assume it should reach 150k in one piece. work will be picking up the fuel bill fortunately for her but just wanted an opinion on what you guys think of these?

  hello, i have a renault kangoo 1.9 diesel f8q engine , does anyone know how to check the no 3 injector its the only one with the electrics going to it this is what it says on the manual cd ive got The needle lift sensor is integrated to the injector holder (cylinder n° 3).

  They seem r/h thread. If I have this trouble, i'm assuming the screen fitters will/do as well. I wonder whether Renault loctite them in place. Any ideas? many thanks John.

  My Renault Master van has been stood for about a year and won't start. I have by-passed the fuel solenoid and have fuel to the injectors (checked this by cracking the pipes), the engine turns over and exhaust smokes but no start.

  i have a Renault laguna and just recently the car doesn't want to start. everything else works fine, engine cranks but there is no ignition spark! an the red immobiliser light constantly flashes when the key is in the ignition on second and start position when you turn the key i hear a relay clicking twice in the dash board area on the passenger side i was going to investigate that but i wasn't sure if was normal and iv'e been trying other things. do you have any ideas ???

  Hi I have been offered a Renault scenic 2.0L 1997 there is a problem with the gearbox that needs to be changed . Is it worth buying it for £200. Does anyone have any idea how much it would cost ???is it a big job?? {I realise you're new here, but please try and read the message that appears under the subject header when you compose your question.

  i have a renault megane 2002 diesel 1.9dci i recently added redex diesel fuel additive to a full tank of diesel two days later my service light came on with the message check injectors , is that a coincidence or is it down to the additive and why did the message come up , i took it to the garage who reset the computer and told me to come back if the message comes on again i didnt tell them i put redex in just in case it invalidated the warranty {year and engine details added to subject header, as per the 3 separate requests that you overlooked!}

  As a diesel driver for many years I have forgotten how these petrol things work!! Any suggestions as to what it might be ? (Apart from the usual "It's a Renault ain't it!") Thanks PhilW

  1993 renault espace v6 ok when cold but then cuts out intermittently when driving, just dies and then pulls again but this is more noticeable when hot and going through the gears the car will just die and if you change from 5th to 4th and then back to 5th again will start to pull again also if you keep it in forth and just touch the throttle it pulls where if you try ro accelerate the power dies.

  Hi, I noticed a couple of months ago when getting new front tyres fitted that the drivers side outer CV Boot had a small hole. The MOT is due soon I've got the new kit, but before I fit it I remember many years ago Renault CV boots needed a special tool. A long cone was fitted over the CV joint and the small hole of the boot slid along the cone which stretched the opening enough to place it on the shaft, sometimes it even worked without tearing the new boot!
• Renault Clio II (2001 - 2007) - 2002 1.2 - vacuum pipe to where? 25 Sep 2007 (Forum)
  A friend of mine has just bought a renault clio which has a vacuum pipe running from the back of the engine to just behind the drivers side headlight. The problem is this pipe is not connected to anything. There is also a 2 pin multi plug connector at the same location again plugged into nothing.

  my key card was lost/stolen for the renault laguna the insurance company required it to be towed away to a safe location , the tow truck could not get in to my drive and because the car was locked he dragged it aprox 10 mts and the dragged it round a corner WITH THE HANDBRAKE ON AND THE STEERING LOCK ON !!

  Stopped by the police for the first time in 15 years or so. and today the Catalytic Converter went. All this and the electrics are fine.(At the moment :-) Remember this is a Renault Laguna. ps. Renault Laguna for sale. Many new parts.....

  On 6th May, I posted about the problems I've had with my diesel car,(registered 52!!) new engine after 6,000 miles now after a further 45,000 miles Renault have carried out a diagnostic test and found Ingestion of oil within the engine, and have recommended the only solution is a new engine. Parts and labour at £6650, they are prepared to contribute 60%, but that still leaves £2660 + V.A.T.

  Hi, I've just bought a 1996 R reg Renault Megane 1.4 RN Paris. The brakes are making a really loud scraping noise and when I apply the brakes the pedal goes almost to the floor with no braking then the brakes seem to slam on fully. As a result, it feels really difficult to brake in a controlled manner.

  Hi Guys, Hope I'm onto the experts here. Have a 2001 Renault Megane. Having problem putting it into reverse and the gears crunching. Only in reverse and only when engine hot. doesn't do it first thing when engine cold. could it be Gear box oil need topping up?

  Hello, Please can someone give me some advice on an electrical fault with have with my Renault Megane Coupe T reg (1999) 16v 2 litre. The lever for the windscreen wiper has stopped working, and instead the switch that is for the air conditioning now turns the wipers on and off. The wipers go very slow when turned on by the air conditioning switch, and hardly any air is blown out from the air conditioning unit making it very hard to demist the windscreen and also potentially dangerous to drive when the window is fogged up and it is raining.

  My old Megane was supplied with a custom fit radio, but there seem to be an almost infinite variety of Philips radios fitted to Renaults that all look identical. Can anyone shed any light on the differences. The reason for asking is that the radio on my 1996 model has packed up (estimate to fix "over £100"). I have been looking for a replacement, but the particular model that was fitted to mine seems as rare as hens teeth.
