  No, that is not a typo, you can indeed spend £72k on a new Renault Megane!. Reading an article in October's issue of Car magazine, i came upon the 'Sports car of the year 2019' grand test. Included in this is the Megane, and i actually laughed out loud at the price.

  Hi guys, I have a 2004 2.2 diesel Renault Espace. A couple of years ago (just months out of warrantee) the turbo charger went. I had it replaced by an experienced Renault mechanic but NOT a dealership garage. However, I did opt for the more expensive Renault part rather than a cheaper 'copy' part.

    I wondered if anyone here has any ideas?   I can't find anything helpful on the Renault forum.  The pump was replaced in 2017, so it should be OK, as it's done few miles since then.

  Eventually the owners withdrew their vehicles from the dealers and took them to an EV specialist in Cheltenham which I believe is Cleevely EVs and got them fixed for £1200. Renault commented that this was because second hand parts had been used to fix the refusal to charge overnight. I know where I would go in the same position!

    Are these engines known for CHG failure or could it be something to do with the intercooled turbo?  Any Renault experts out there?  I would be grateful for opinions re diagnosis.  This engine seems to have been around in many different cars for a long time, but perhaps 80 - 100,000 miles is all one can hope for?

  I have a 1998 2ltr 8 valve renault espace petrol,on completion of an mot test it failed to start the garage checked the vehicle and suggested the fuel pump had failed,the car was towed back home where a  eww pump was fitted the car still did not start,on checking there was no electrical power to the pump also no spark at the spark plugs all fuses and relayes were ok,diagnostics  checks will not log into this vehicle, up to the mot the car had been trouble free ,can anyone please tell me what has gone wrong.

  Hi,  Pre MOT inspection reveals requirement to replace power steering rack, I will be tackling this myself with limited facilities and tooling, rent as required. can anyone tell me if the engine needs to be dropped on the rear subframe mounts to extract and insert rack? I can't find a Haynes manual, suspect another Renault model would be the same running gear, Megane?any other advice welcome. It's an old van and not really viable but has too much sentimental value for the kids not to give it a go, bought a rack, reconditioned bankrupt stock for 80 quid!

  My 2006 Renault Laguna Initiale Sports Tourer key-cards are not activating the automatic seat settings for self and wife despite setting the key-cards memory settings separately in the hole and pressing the memory button on the seat and hearing the confirmation tinkle.

  I currently drive a Honda Prelude VTEC that I?m very happy with but have just seen a Renault Avantime for sale in a local dealer. It?s the 2.0Litre turbo in the metallic blue / silver two tone paintwork, its only got 60,000 on the clock and all logic says it would be an absolutely stupid buy even if I could get it for £4000 ish as tax is likely in the £400 bracket, economy poor, handling mediocre and reliability worse?..

  hi there ,  I keep getting a message saying that i should have a "control "on the injection ( its a french car so hence the translation ) , I have taken it ti a couple of renault garages here in Frane and 1 fitted a new fuel filter which seemed ok for a couple of days then the message came back ; the other garage says that they cannot find a fault at all .   basically it seems to come on everytime i am driving uphill , the car seems to have no power and is sluggish then the message lights up .

  Hi All, My vehicle has recently develped a lumpy tickover. Despite a full service by a local {not renault} reputable garage the problem still persists. The mechanic stated its probably one of the many onboard sensors but unsure which one. Hooked up to the computer reported ''no faults found''. Starting the engine at home from cold the engine misses slightly on the quarter mile steep incline.

  My son has a Renault Clio Dynamique 1.2 petrol. Year 2001. mileage 67500. The engine sometimes cuts out when the car is stationary. Sometimes it just won't start , the engine turns over o.k. but won't fire. It will start with a push.
• Renault - Trafic - 92 2.1 Do I need the cambelt changing ? 1 Jun 2009 (Forum)
  I have a vehicle which had the cambelt changed six years ago and has since done 30,000 miles. The service book says change every 70,000 - but does not mention annual intervals. It is a Renault Trafic 2.1 diesel camper van. I am planning on taking it to Spain this year so this may be another deciding factor. Is there such thing as "shelf life" on a cambelt ? I have heard that every 5 years is the norm but bearing in mind it has done so little mileage - is it worth it ?

  Hi Everyone, I have a Renault 21 Savanna Estate which is now in need of a new front subframe. I have two problems; 1) I could do with some information on how difficult a job this is to do onesself and what equipment you would need to get it done. 2) I am having a lot of difficulty locating a second hand front subframe and was hoping someone might have some possibilities to throw my way.

  Hi, I own a 54 reg Renault Clio 1.5dci with 79,000 miles on the clock and it just wont start. It's had new glow plugs, new air filter, fuel filter but still wont start. Timing has been checked, all ok. It was stiff starting, sometimes taking up to half an hour but would eventually start, but sometimes on starting it didn't have any throttle response.

  Hi folks, wondering if anyone can help me or has any ideas, long story short, took my clio to the renault garage to get the bonnet clip checked, they said the bonnet cable was broke so the could not check the clip or replace it till i got a new cable fitted for around £90, dont really want to pay this, so i had a look myself, the cable is still attached at the leaver end, but i can not get the bonnet open, ive spent hours trying, any ideas?
