  Hi all, Can anyone who has access to old Glasse's guides please tell me what the book drop is on the following car over the last 6 or so months? BMW Z4 2.5 Auto 2003 03, 17K miles. Showroom condition. I'm trying to persuade my dad to lease me his as it sits around doing nothing nearly all of the time and I figure that I could put it to good use but I would need to know roughly how much it was dropping by!

  Greetings. I have just purchased an Oxford Green BMW 728i from a country house in Cambridgeshire. It has 1478 miles on the clock and has been covered up sinse 1997 when it was just a year old. It is in showroom condition but the reason it was stood up by folk with more money than sence was it was grounded on a high kerb and has a tiny leak on the seam of the tank.

  Hi i am having a problem with Fuel intake on a BMW 318i (96). I recently ran low on petrol, the petrol light had been on for about 15- 20 miles. Any ways it would not start and was just juddering, then stallign if i applied the accelerator. I then refueled using cans (the gauge reads just under half a tank!)

  The other gears when cold are ok a little stiff but nothing on the scale of first gear. car has just had a full service by BMW specialist Any ideas??

  I recently had an extremely small altercation with a BMW 1 series in the car park at work, resulting in VERY minor scuffing to my VW Touareg bumper and to the BMW front wheel arch. Like an idiot (not really) I 'fessed up and the quote from BMW came in at a grand....

  All, Recently bought a BMW 318i with 46k miles. Its been fine but recently noticed when it warms up it seems to alternate between 1000 revs and 1500 revs. This is not very noticeable when driving but in traffic its quite noticeable.

  I know research before replacing the phone might have been a good idea but both support Bluetooth 2.0 - the fact that they do not communicate is infuriating. Any tips on where to go, who to ask? BMW & Nokia seem to shrug their shoulders

  When my BMW 325tds is cold it starts really well but when it's warm it takes several turns and up to 8-10 seconds of turning it over to start up. The warmer it is the worse it is at starting basically, so if I let it cool down for a couple of hours it starts alright again.

  The starter initially tried to start the car but after say 5/6 attempts the engine no longer turned over. The car is 1995 with 104k and full BMW service history the most recent completed 3 weeks ago. Could this be a Nikasil issue?

  Evening all, can anyone tell me if its worth purchashing 5 series BMW on a 92 plate upwards for about 1300 quid, was looking at a 525i or something. Think they look great but had one a long time ago and the thing had that over heating problem. Which think was a cracked cyclinder head.

  Hi Is anyone aware of the new condition based servicing requirements of newer BMWs . Just bought new shape 2005 3 series with 8800 miles, genuine. Will be coming up to first service, after 2 years. Dashboard computer states oil change needed now (May2005 or 14,000 miles), along with air microfilter. however also has a sign stating front brake pads at 9000 miles.

  Been offered a M reg 525 TD BMW Touring with history, Boston Green, 130,000 miles, good all round with full MOT, around £1800.00. Anything to look out for with this model - do you have any owner advice, or opinions? Reliable? Thirsty?

  hi all...can anyone tell me why the front wipers on my 1998 bmw have suddenly become temperamental and only work intermitantly?, when i push the lever down for a single wipe as soon as i take my hand off they stop dead were they are and then wont move at all!!

  Hi all, Any help here is a appreciated. I recently purchased a 1996 BMW 316i. While driving the car i seem to lose power and the rev drops really low and i cant get any speed. When i pull up the engine cuts out and battery light comes on. I then start the car and it has real trouble pulling away and then the same problem of being in gear and having trouble moving.

  The handbrake on my dads 2002 325i has recently started sticking on. Its now been to a BMW dealer who says that the handbrake on these has some pads all of their own, and that every now and then your should drive a short way with the handbrake on to clean these as they aren't anything to do with the foot brake and so accumulate crud.

  Having just bought a top condition ultra low mileage 94 BMW e30 tourer with a great service history.I was hit in a no fault accident and the repair bill looks like it's around £3k from the local BMW dealers. Does anybody know if I can ensure it's repaired rather than written off as it's taken me six months to find this car.

  I have a problem with a BMW 330D 2000 Model. Divers side electric window is making a strange metalic noice when selected down. If the window is stopped at the mid point there is about 3 inches of up and down play. Just wondering if anybody can give me any pointers as to what could be going wrong, or if anybody has ever come accross this defect before?

  Now I'm a little surprised that he is selling what appears to be a high demand car, for the list price and so close to the launch date. Do I smell a rat or are there legit UK brokers doing business with UK BMW dealers and able to source these desirable cars at a discount? Cheers! JTP
• BMW 320D Injection Fuel Pump 15 Apr 2003 (Forum)
  Early this year the fuel pump had to be replaced along with some damaged parts - timing guardrail. My car was out of warranty but BMW agreed to pay 75% of the total cost of £2000. The car was at the BMS dealer for 11 (eleven) weeks! My question\'s are: Is there a known fuel pump problem, would a faulty pump cause others problems or could the damage parts be caused my incorrect fitting of new pump?
