  Hi Can anybody out there give me advice concerning a heating problem I'm experiencing with my 1.0L Corsa C? I use the car for commuting every week and never experience warm air from the blower even though the journey is 45 minutes to an hour. I appreciate the weather is extreme at the moment and it would be reasonable for the car to take longer than usual to "warm up" but I'm guessing that the problem, if it has one, will continue when the arctic conditions subside?

  The pre-heat warning light is on all the time, it has happened before but it did eventually go off.The car maintenance is up to date, Next service due in July. How often do the glow plugs have to be replaced? Also with the light staying on, would this change the engine behaviour?

  I have a 1994 Ford Mondeo 1.8 LX. Just recently when I turn the fan on the car to heat the cab up it appears to be blowing the air as you can here the fan, but hardly any air comes out the vents. The Tempature gauge hardly moves also. Has anybody any idea what the problem could be?

  I am in process of valeting my 30 year old female cousin's MX5. It has done about 55k miles and is a Y Reg. Now I have owned and washed many cars in my day but I have never seen one with so many stone chips and rust spots as this! Is this just a feature of "sports cars" and their relative height on the road? Between the windscreen and the convertible roof, 6 rust spots and blistered paint.

  I use ready diluted Halfords screenwash and have recently fitted new (Bosch) wiper blades. The screen is still streaky. Any ideas ? Thanks in advance.

  My windscreen wipers stop in the vertical position. They work fine apart from they stop in the wrong place. I know you can move them to the 'service' position when the engine is off but the key still in and have used this to reset them down but the minute I use them again they end up stopping in the vertical position when I switch them off-any ideas?

  My sons Polo has developed a crack in the windscreen (probably due to the cold weather) It starts at the bottom edge in the centre. It moves up about 50 mm and then curves towards the passenger side about 80mm. Although it,s within the "swept area" it doesn,t impede the driver,s view nor is it distracting.

  Does anyone out there have any tips on cleaning the inside of a windscreen without leaving streaks, especially on a sunny day? I tend to use a cream cleaner for the outside but this can drip down and stain the top of the dashboard when doing the inside. Spray glass cleaners just streak.

  Uh Oh Windscreen just started to mist up, de-mister heater setting won't clear it, only aircon, and at the end of a 3 mile run in average traffic the engine fan came on, this was a new noise, I don't remember hearing it before, 122,000 miles.
