April '08 tax disc - CQ
Just been in Birmingham and crossing the road saw a car with a red 04 08 V.E.D. disc in the windscreen,fourteen and a half month's duty, very strange.

If you are going to be abroad when your tax disc expires you can apply in advance. The limit is around 2/3 months before hand. It probably has been put on in advance!

Yes, you can apply in advance, but you're not supposed to display it.

You should have noted the reg + make and had a look on the dvla web site to see what it said.

I got a company car a good few years ago that came with 12 and half months tax - and the amount written on it was an odd amount, so they'd been charged for the extra tax.
