Toyota Lucida/Emina - No fuel at diesel injectors, glow plugs not working 26 Nov 2012 (Forum)
The glow plug lights are not illuminating on the dash and I have changed the fusible link under the bonnet but to no effect. I have read that the problem may be down to the ECU but don't want to fit one if there is a less costly remedy. I would be grateful of any advice -

Peugeot 307 HDi 110 52 plate - Diesel additive at minimum level 12 May 2012 (Forum)
Ive read a few threads on here and i think i'm going to buy the refill kit and take it in to get the ecu reset. I'm a hgv mechanic and am i right in thinking its the same as an add-blue system on a wagon? Add-blue sysytems just inject add-blue (pig p***) into the exhaust cat to reduce emissions. My main question is if i leave it will the engine go into limp mode and could leaving it cause any damage? -
Ford Fiesta - Ford Fiesta 1.4TDCI EAC FAULT 20 Mar 2012 (Forum)
Hi, am new to this and need some help with my ford fiesta 1.4tdci its driving me crazy, It all started when I changed my Injectors after changing my injectors my turbo failed to work there was no EAC fault coming up on the dash, just the the turbo would not kick in. After rebuilding the ECU turbo worked fine but there was another problem the EAC LIGHT flashes on the dash and the battery light is very dim. Am assuming its down to the battery light i think it may be alternator or PCM module wire .. -
Vauxhall Vectra B, Jan 2002 - Service Light 27 Feb 2012 (Forum)
I had the car serviced only last September, so it isn't in need of a service. I'm told it could be because I have changed the ECU ? Any suggestions or help will be greatly appreciated, as it is a real pain. -
2006 Peugeot Partner Combi 1.9D - DW8 engine idle 16 Feb 2012 (Forum)

Disconnect battery to trickle charge? 20 Jan 2012 (Forum)
Is it vital to disconnect the battery during charging or will the vehicle cope OK, i'm fairly sure the engine management ECU has to 'relearn' following reconnection but i may well be totally wrong. The car is running so perfectly i'd rather not disconnect if possible. Whats the proper procedure? -
Golf 1.6 auto 2002 - Won't start from hot or after short journeys 2 Aug 2011 (Forum)

Rover 75 CDT - ABS Problem 5 Apr 2011 (Forum)
From start up and moving off the ABS system kicks in then after about a minute it goes off and the light appears on the dash, normal braking but no ABS, changed the front two wheel sensors but no difference.Car has done 160,000 so i'm guessing now it's a more serious problem, i don't think it's the pump but in the book it shows ECU attached to side of the pump so i was wondering if anyone else has have a similar problem with either the Rover 75 or cars with similar ABS systems at can point me in the right direction, would a plug in at the garage indicate with a fault code what the failure is? -
Vauxhall Vectra C - Battery Drain 26 Jan 2011 (Forum)
Tested for a drain using my multimeter in series with the battery earth cable, doors locked, waited for the ecu to close down, and got a read of 0.2 on the 10A setting. Am I right in thinking this current draw is too high? I read somewhere to expect 0.05 maximum, otherwise it might be a diode fault in the alternator? -
saxo furio 2002 - Lambda sensor problem or not? 8 Nov 2010 (Forum)
Please can someone tell me the least expensive way of diagnosing whether i have a fault with sensor 1 sensor 2 or the cat itself. The ecu light has been on and diagnosed vaguely by the garage as the emmisions but these have been tested separately to be ok. i can do the work myself i think as i have already removed the post cat sensor thinking i might sleeve it it as mentioned elsewhere but am not sure if that will work or even if its legal. -

Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - 03 2000 tdci injector coding, can anyone help me? 5 Feb 2010 (Forum)
my glow plug light is flashing and my 130bhp mondeo is underpowered. Im certain its a faulty injector, but i think maybe the ECU has lost the code, and it can be recoded. What software would i need to do this myself? Or does anyone have it and can do it for cash? I dont want to take it to ford because i would rather pay an enthusiast. -
Peugeot 206 hatchback (1998 - 2006) - 01 2.0 HDI remap to 150bhp safe? 8 Jun 2009 (Forum)
I have had my 206 ECU remapped to 120bhp by someone. When he remapped it, he said it could've been done to 150bhp, but it would've wrecked the clutch and I would have had repair bills every week. However, after speaking to a Peugeot mechanic today, he said it wouldnt be a problem as he has seen one done and he said it drives well. -
Mercedes Benz C-Class W202 (1993 - 2000) - C class 240 27 May 2009 (Forum)
It has done 100k+ miles but looks in good condition. I am concerned about reliability. The review on this site says the ecu can fail after 12 years and can't be fixed - the car is a 99 so 2 more years? Plus, there are also potential rust issues, it doesn't drive as well as the previous model. I've always like the classic solid look of the older mercs (esp c class). -
Peugeot 406 (1996 - 1998) - 98 2.0 Misfire/stalling 20 May 2009 (Forum)
Any ideas as to the next steps I should take would be much appreciated as the mechanic seems to think it may mean a new ECU (ouch) which I would like to avoid if possible
