  I have noticed that minis all seem to make a strange electrical sound when travelling slowly. Does anyone know why this is, is it electrical power steering?

  Good Morning I'm looking to buy a second hand Mini which is only 6 months old. It has 2.5yrs remaining on the manufacturers warranty however should the dealer offer me his own warranty? If something were to go wrong would I have the right to have him sort it out or would I have to go Mini direct?

  I've just bought a 1989 Mini 30 with no manual or handbook. Can anybody tell me what the pull out lever near the choke and like a choke but not a choke (flame like symbol on end)is for? Also a push down button which lights up green and has some kind of pedal symbol on it.

  If there's no alternative then I may take it to a Mini dealership to see if they can fix it, but that might end up costing more than the car is worth! Any advice greatly appreciated.

  I have been to a Mini Garage looking for a One D. I found out from the sales person that the Mini One D that I liked very much previously belonged to a driving instructor. It is 06 reg and has done 65k miles (averaging more than 30k a year).

  Problem Light oil Mini One 2003 Hello   I have a little problem on my mini one. When I am at the stop I have my oil light that lights up and as I accelerate it goes off! Yes it is a pressure problem that can be from the filter, sensor, pressure, oil, pump, etc!

  Please help me 'cos I don't understand. Surely I am sure I'm not the only one. The new Mini is heading for both best and worst car? I presume this is by two distinct groups. I am a nearly-thirty DINKY, with a nice sensible Mondeo for long journeys and owned a "proper" mini which I loved when I was younger.

  As mentioned by HJ here https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/news/new-cars/2024-02/2024-mini-cooper/ the MINI Cooper's 1.5 engine is going up to 154ps - it's currently 136. Anyone know whether the BMW 118i which currently shares the 1.5 will also be getting the power hike? Just for the purposes of my next car daydreams.

  SWMBO wants an 18 month old Mini Clubman.  Fine by me and the two major sources are Mini dealers or Motorpoint. For what are effectively identical cars of age, mileage and specification, the Motorpoint cars are about 2-3% cheaper.

  I have bought a 1275 engine for my Mini that began life in a Metro. It comes with all ancilleries apart from the carb and manifold. What I need to know is will the manifold be ok for the bigger engine and are the carbs the same apart from the jet size; ie, can I rejet my existing carb or will I have to source one from a 1275 mini/metro?

  Has anyone converted an automatic mini to manual? My son's K reg. automatic failed and we've been quoted around £700 to repair, the cheaper option would be to fit a manual engine/ gearbox unit out of a mini or possibly a metro, apart from the obvious need for a clutch pedal is anyone aware of any problems I could expect while carrying this out?

  Insurance for me is £50 cheaper for the mini and carrying passengers isn't really a concern as I do it very rarely. Its mainly just me. I really can't choose, between the 2. The focus is what my head is telling me but my heart is where the mini is as I love the drive and feel.
