  Hi,I am running a Sierra 2.3 diesel diff assy and driveshafts on the rear of my trike.The driveshafts are the push in type as opposed to the ones that bolt onto the flange on the diff.I noticed today that the outer boot,nearest the hub is split is on one side.

  hi need help .just bought an 03 plate 307 2ltr hdi 90bhp . the air doser vacume pipe is missing  . dealer says its just a breather and wont affect the car . but  the throttle keeps running on after i remove my foot from pedal . until i press pedal again or take it out of gear . the partical filter warning light was on after i bought it so i took it to peugot who plugged it in and reset the  computer . it hasnt come back on since . . taking it back to the dealer on monday . so any help would be grateful .

  Got a 1.1 LX W Plate Saxo as a 2nd car for the wife to learn to drive in. I will be the main driver for short runs to work etc. Other car is a SAAB. I am paying an additional £17 pcm for fully comp on the Saxo. 3rd party was only a few quid cheaper! Adding the wife as a named driver on the Saxo is increasing the premium from £17 to £50 pcm.

  If so what is available and how the heck can one search for models available? I know of a man locally running a factory spec dual fuel Vauxhall, plus a retrofit Honda, both of which he is very pleased with. I would otherwise be a diesel "nut" but with all the newly developed problems/technologies am a wee bit circumspect about purchasing diesel again looking to do 200,000 plus miles over 10 plus years in any car purchased Cos I absolutly hate giving car dealers  money cheers M

  no one brought it up here There is supposed to be a fuel protest next week but I have only read about this on one web site Meanwhile the poloticians run around in big cars, private coaches, fly around the country and tell use they will tax use so we can not do the same

  I always start with the bleed nipple furthest from Master cylinder ie rear left, then rear right . front left , front right.Ive had the engine running for the servo, and the missus pressing the pedal. Just wondered if there was anything more to it on the mini? Thanks, Daz

    I have a corsa 1.5 td on a p plate tht i have just replaced the engine on. When started, it runs rough, taking quite a while to start and emitting clouds of blue smoke. So much so cars passing the drive stop to see whats just blown up.   Is the engine screwed, i.e. worn piston rings, or can it be caused by any other means i can check before removing the engine again and returning it.

  I have up to £6 grand to spend and currently drive a 1997 escort. Need a 5dr as baby number 2 about to arrive. Want something cheap to run, reliable and cheap in services/MOT. initially concentrated on Jazz, but brother-in-law swears by Focus TDCi. Been checking models of both up to 5 years old and 20-40K on clock. Is there any major difference or preference between them?

  Good morning, Background: Car has been sitting on a driveway and not being used very much over the last 5 months. (has been started every other day and left running for 30 mins or so.) I servicedit on Saturday (plugs,oil and filters (not fuel) I have now started driving the car and when i pull up to a junction/lights etc the car feels like it wants to stall and has started to self rev very slightly - however it never stalls.

  I've also just heard the bypass is now reported closed in both directions due to multi vehicle accidents. If the bypass is in such a bad condition I suspect Leeds are running out of grit. Careful anyone who is in the area.

  Went to collect the wife from work yesterday and picked up a hitch hiker,first time ive done this in near 30 years,i explained to my passenger that theres too many care in the communities out there who tell you their tin of corned beef is really a bomb so i stopped doing it,it was freezing cold out and i knew that buses were only every hour if they run and the way he was hitching i realised he didnt do it for a living What do the team think? Has anybody else offered lifts in this weather to people they dont know? Or co workers that turned out the passengers from hell?

  The starter spinns the engine quite easily as if no petrol in the cylinders. Where is the fuel pump so that I can check? Any other checks you can suggest. Is the pump not running because of a sensor somewhere? I have tried to draw petrol throgh the petrol filter but that is difficult and I guess that it is coming through a valve etc in the fuel pump but I cannot find the pump!

  Hi, today i had the car running for about 30 mins or so while i cleaned it, then while i was waiting for the kids at school, i head this gurgling etc...looked at the temp gauge and it was at the top in the red!!!. Let the engine cool down for a while, and then drove home.

  But I've always wanted to own a BMW but don't know how it compares to the focus. Both cars are about £1300 and 100k miles. The BMW would be more costly to run and maintain but I only plan to keep it for about a year. What I'm more interested in is which car is the better to drive, around town and for long distance cruising. Reliability is also important.

  I am considering buying a second hand Prius as my next car, possibly in the next year or so. Not because I'm some sort of Eco Warrior, but mainly because they seem so cheap to run. I have not heard of any failure issues on any Prius and was wondering if anybody has heard of, or experienced, any breakdowns in a Prius or are they totally 100% reliable. I was thinking of getting a new-ish one any keeping it for a some years.

  Hi. I have a 2005 Mondeo which started running badly last week and the warning light flashing away. I took it to Ford on Thursday for them to look at it. I went back over on Friday and they had not completed their checks but they have told me it has the following faults; P132A P132B P1664 The woman on reception had no further information on the computer.

  Hi i was driving to work last night when my car made a pher noise then lost power.i have all my lights etc but my car will not turn over at all.we thought it may have run out of petrol but have stuck some in and nothing. any ideas to what it may be?have tried jump leads and nothing would be very grateful for any help or advice thanks in advance
